$4, that's less than it would cost to rent a game these days. At least i think so, haven't rented in a while... i mean, you can't really go wrong with that. Might as well give it a go, i say.

It is the scariest thing I've ever experienced and I can't bring myself to play it, so now would be the time to buy it if the game fires a pussification ray at you like it did me.

If you like horror, or simply want to see one of the best examples of pacing and atmosphere in any game ever, then yes, absolutely. By the way, play it in the dark, sound up. You will hate yourself for doing this, but it's worth it.

I did it on my 27 inch iMac screen, 3 feet from my face, in the dark, full volume, alone in my house. I refuse to play that game now.

Might be stalking this thread. One of my friends is a huge fan of Amnesia and has been begging me to play it. I've read and watched some stuff and while I've never played a horror game, it's a nice game to look at as an example of what a horror game SHOULD be.

Mind you, pants are expensive these days.

EDIT: Did I mention the scariest gaming experience I had was with a semi-educational dinosaur game with shitty 80s 3D effects (that is to say no 3D at all) when I was 5? Ya, me playing Amnesia is going to be fun.

I, Personally, do not find Amnesia Scary.

Its Atmosphere is just SERIOUSLY Oppressive. Which can lead to Fear.

Whats the actual gameplay like?

I hear loads of people say its awesome but I have no idea if its say, first person. Third person. Could be an rts for all I know except I don't see how one could be scary...

Also a feint is a tactical manouvre btw.
If your heart does one then... probably a heart attack, call an ambulance

I recommend it. I'm notoriously difficult to scare, but I've played through Amnesia twice and I still get heart attacks when I hear something growling around a dark corner.

It depends, do you enjoy weeping in a corner, curled into the fetal position? Because that's what this game does to you, and it does it bloody well.

Pretty much that. You may also need to buy some new underwear after you finish it...

It's not that much, if you think it's gonna suck, too bad, one more game to the liberay, what can you get for that amount anywya? a burger at Mc D?

Buy it, and play it, for what it is, it's really awesome.

But you can also have alot of fun with it, if you decide to do everything in your power to act exactly opposite to what the game expects (like chasing the monsters ore charging at them)

Amnesia, Damn scary game that I fully recommend aswell as the Penumbra series, just go for it and experience the thrill.
