Greetings Forum Goers, I would like your opinion on a personal issue I'm having trouble making a decision on:

When Dragon Age: Origins was released, I purchased it on the Xbox 360, since I wanted to play it, and at the time saw no alternative since I had yet to obtain a decent rig that could possibly play Dragon Age. Now that I have a Good PC for gaming, I'm debating whether or not I should buy it again on PC, since as far as I can tell the game was designed with PC controls in mind and would play a lot better than on a console. Also, the PC version would let me download user made mods, and would probably look better. Since the game itself has gone down in price since release, I'm wondering if it's worth my $30+ to buy it again on the PC, or just finish the game on the console.

I think they're going to be releasing an 'Ultimate Edition' which includes everything, so I think you'd be best off getting that when it comes out.

lol did you enjoy it enough that you'd wanna buy it again? It's not rly something ppl could answer for you. If you enjoy the game that much and u'd like to mod it with the PC version then go for it.

I'd buy it.

I bought the PC version via Steam, and from what I know, it just feels more natural on a PC. I'd recommend the same.

If you can stand waiting though, it might be better to just wait for Steam to put it on sale.

Dragon Age on its own isn't worth a repurchase for a new system. If there is some DLC that comes with your repurchase that adds game play that you've never played and is also a good deal then it may be worthwhile for that. While PC controls would be better than the controls on the version I am playing (PS3) it's not worth a repurchase as the non-PC controls are perfectly adequate. I also don't see the point of a repurchase for improved graphics as that isn't going to give you a big improvement on the experience.

I have no place to talk on wasting money on multiple copies of the same game. I bought Dead Space for PS3 even though I had an XBox 360 copy. Not because I lost the original, but because I love the game so much I wanted to play it with a different controller. I kid not. My budget for games is about $20 every month, so believe me when I say that a second copy beat out a lot of other contenders for things to buy.

Summery: if you love Dragon Age as much as I love Dead Space, go on ahead cowboy. If not, what the hell is wrong with you?

I have it on PC, most of the user made mods are unimpressive at best (nude patch ZOMG!!!) I voted no but I never saw how good/bad the graphics or controls are for xbox, but I don't imagine it would be horribly different.

Side Note: Even tho I voted no, you might could do it if you wait and buy Ultimate edition for PC, it will have all the DLC and the xpac for $50. I thought the xpac was rather enjoyable even if the dlc got bad reviews.

People still buy single-player PC games?
Ya im not quite sure whats wrong with people these days. I thought the pc was ment for mmos and online rts games.

You already own the game for the 360 so I wouldnt see any reason to buy it unless you like wasting money. But that is just me, I never really understood why somebody would buy a second copy of a game they already own and works just fine.
I think he was more alluding to piracy than the genre or the platform.

I didn't really enjoy the game too much after my first play through, so I would say no.

Yes, I did, it's totally worth it. Just sell your 360 copy first, so you get some money back from it.

basically this.

I am considering buying the Ultimate Edition on the 360, when I already own it on the 360.

As the first post mentioned, wait until they're done doing updates/expansions and have released an "ultimate edition" that includes everything, then buy it again if you really want it.

Unless you really like Dragon Age, no. I looked at the assortment of mode for it, and I've found nothing that I would want to download. Actually... alot of the mods bothered me. >_<

I can bet half of the mods were nude mods to stare at naked pixels of ugly women? And men. Though Alistair was pretty good looking.

You are right on the money, sadly. :(
