OK.

I've just come back from a night out "on the lash" (this means drinking lots of alcohol, foreigners) and I was unable to consume any alcohol without feeling like I was about to puke. I made it to about 3 pints before it was a severe effort to actually drink anything. As I student this worries me as most of my social life revolves around getting "plastered" (inebriated) and I was once able to do 6 pints easily and make my 9am lecture.

I have been in this state ever since I left myself severely worse for wear on new years and ever since I have been unable to stomach alcohol. Do you reckon this is serious? Is it psychological or physical? I want your opinion!

edit: thanks for all the responses guys, though I was hoping for something slightly more helpful than "stop drinking" and "you have issues". The main problem I see with going to the doctor is that I think I'll just get told not to drink any more and that's not really an option in my opinion. I love getting wasted :p . Plus I'll hardly get any sympathy with "I can't binge drink any more and be a drain on the NHS". As I suffer no ill effects when I don't drink I think I'm going to leave it a little longer and see how I do. Plus it's such a hassle going to the doctors I can't be bothered.

I chose option #3
Seems like a good idea to me, of course there are no repercussions for me.

Otherwise, check with a doctor

As another student who seems to have more alcohol than blood in them, i reckon you should see a doctor.
Could be nothing, could be something. Doesn't ever hurt to check right?
Also maybe giving the heavy drinking a skip for a bit might help.

Just stop drinking for a while and see a doctor about it.

There's more to life than drinking.

Doubtful it is poisoning, you have been alive for days after new years and still kicking around which doesn't happen with alcohol poisoning. Now if you start a post with 'should I see a doctor' the answer normally is yes! See a doctor, there could be some internal damage. Even though I can't fathom how that would of happened, never know what else you did that night... do you....

Just switch to spirits.

Take a couple weeks and lay off the sauce. If you feel just fine when not drinking then i doubt there is too much problem then ease yourself back into it. Is it just beer or does everything do it like hard liquor.

Just don't drink for a bit, then if you're not feeling better in a week go see a doctor.

i think that you have developed an adverse reaction to alcohol, mabye you should stop for a while and see how that feels. or mabye stop trying to get shitfaced every night because your liver is crying out for help

See a doctor, but stop drinking too since he is probably going to tell you to do that anyway.
