Just sounds like it's beginning to catch up on you. If it persists for more than a week then yeah, go see a doctor. In the mean time, lay off the hooch, drinking isn't everything. If you go down that road I guarantee it'll fucking destroy you and I'm not talking blackouts, 'wtf did I do to that guy/girl?', spending a night/weekend in the cells or waking up covered in your own puke, I'm talking about throwing up everyday, pissing/shitting/puking blood, dementia, cracking your head off the pavement for the Nth time and having to go to hospital AGAIN, renal failure, liver failure, a poor immune system resulting in you being sick ALL the time, pancreatitis(which I hear is excruciatingly painful and can lead to diabetes, fancy sticking a needle in your finger everyday for the rest of your life?)... and more. So think on.

Hey you wanted some advice, I've seen that shit happen to people.

Perhaps you can find ways to entertains yourselves (that is your friends and you) that don't involve getting plastered. Food for thought.

Yeah, looks like you don't have a high tolerance for lots of drinking. Besides getting plastard all the time isn't good for you or your liver. See a doctor to make sure it's not messed up beyond repair

I've always viewed drink as a social crutch, but that isn't to say that crutches are bad. Sometimes you need to drink after a social injury, like after a hard break up or when your dad reveals that his life of international sales has allowed him to maintain several other secret families.

The doctor question: I've been hungover for days before. You just gotta wait a while between benders.

This happened to me, you just have to wait for your stomach to heal up... I did it 2 years ago on Halloween, once I realised drinking hurt quite a bit I waited it out.

OK.

I've just come back from a night out "on the lash" (this means drinking lots of alcohol, foreigners) and I was unable to consume any alcohol without feeling like I was about to puke. I made it to about 3 pints before it was a severe effort to actually drink anything. As I student this worries me as most of my social life revolves around getting "plastered" (inebriated) and I was once able to do 6 pints easily and make my 9am lecture.

I have been in this state ever since I left myself severely worse for wear on new years and ever since I have been unable to stomach alcohol. Do you reckon this is serious? Is it psychological or physical? I want your opinion!
You've sensitized your system to alcohol from the sounds of it. It is very possible it is no longer your drug of choice. If you go to a doctor, 95% of them will tell you to not drink, and not to bother them again unless you have other symptoms. There are cases where some people can no longer intake some substances ever again after over-indulgence due to a sensitization effect. I've seen it happen with alcohol amongst other things. I recommend a drug-free life. Barring that, take up pot. At least if your system doesn't like it, it won't attempt to kill you over it.

Honestly it is probably a combination of psychological and physical. You have now, unwittingly, conditioned yourself to equate alcohol with unpleasant trips to the loo (or trash receptical, carpet, etc.) This is a common side effect for those who drink to much too fast over a sustained period. This is your bodies way of saying "Oy! Slow down or I quit!"
