But I agree with you: Very few people have a understanding of drugs and rely on their doctors to be informed. Sadly most doctors are just as informed as their patents and most times just blindly prescribe what the drug companies tell them to. Maybe a few law suits against a couple of doctor will wake the rest up to actually ignore the junkets and freebies. They should be, at least, reading the big book of drugs to give a better informed opinion to the patents if not heading back to school every decade or so, to keep in touch with this fast progressive field.
