It's a shame Bioware is stuck making a Star Wars MMO instead of one for Mass Effect.

I don't really know what the appeal of co-op Mass Effect would be. If they lose the focus on making single-player great, they could wreck it.

I love Co-Op, no seriously I love it.

That said Mass effect is a world based on what 1 person wants. Adding another person would kill that game.

Player 2: Hey you have been chatting for like 15 minutes lets do something!
Me: STFU I'm trying to Lay Ashley.
Player 2: You are so gay, and howcome I don't get to be Shepard? This is BS lets trade.
Me: STFU your ruining the immersion.
Player 2: Ashley is a stupid racist marine.
Me: No I love her! I'll kill you.
Player 2: Died in RL.

The Two universes are kinda similiar. both space epics both have lasers etc.... either way, i would have rather had a kotor 3. I would also rather have a mass effect 3. making a game an MMORPG ruins the story telling aspect. I'm sure Bioware can do it, its what they're good at.... just not the same feel.

It would only be entertaining if they made a campaign designed for co-op or something. Still, I'm never against co-op.

It could stand it, as long as they don't design it around co-op. Not that I have anything against the latter, but Mass Effect should not be Borderlands.

Yeah, I agree with this guy. I don't want different play types.... just give me more of what I already love.
Thirded. If you want to release "Mass Effect: Universe" or whatever, fine. Just so long as BioWare finishes the story first.

Every game should have the option of cooperative play if it is possible for the design team (which, really, by this point it shouldn't be that hard). Even if its just really basic co-op like in Fable 2, it should be an option.

I'm not exactly for it, mostly just because I don't see it working well at all.

Mass Effect is a great game as is... lets not fix whats not broke shall we?

I figure one of you would be the badass Shepard while the other just assumes control of one of your crew, that would be good. But we all know, two Specters can really do some damage to the universe

That sounds very similar to an ... incident ... i was involved in recently.
Ah, Ashley...

OT: I think if anyone could do it in an RPG, Bioware could. I think it's still an impossible task.

What godofallu said.

Additionally, Bioware has said several times that the trilogy is "Shepard's story". They're making the story based on his actions as a character they've created.

That said, I have nothing against co-op. But it would have to be a separate campaign and that leads to problems that have popped up before. They focus too much on the co-op and the single player suffers for it or vice-versa.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I also can't think of a game Bioware has done with co-op before. I'm all for them trying, however they probably shouldn't put a huge risk factor into the final part of one of the best trilogies in gaming.

Triple this.

It's about your choices, if you have to debate every choice with someone then it's going to take a long time to go though conversations and loose all immersion.

I don't see why so many people think all games would be better with Co-op. Some games sure, but most games no.

Agreed! I play Mass Effect 1 and 2 multiple times because I like them...don't try to fix what isn't broken.

If there's ever a multiplayer aspect to the game, cool. Can't see the harm in such a thing.
BUT. They should always, always, have split - screen multiplayer as well as online multiplayer. I don't think I would have loved Halo's co-op as much if it wasn't split screen, but that's just me. I hate the way a lot of games neglect split screen nowadays.
