im sorry but why are soooo many people such a ***** about using Juggernaut!? ITS A PERK... IT WAS DESIGNED TO BE USED BY ANYONE...
the logic some people are using is like saying "Oh you shouldn't use stopping power as it's like saying "im not good enough to kill you with the normal amount of bullets"" some people have got to be kidding with their annoyance of it...
no i don't use it... but when i was starting up it was useful to have just a little bit of slack going so i could do better than if i had normal health...
soooo quit bein a ***** about it... suck it up and let people use the perk...
I think its because after almost ten years with counter strike, where you have to rely on nothing but what you have and your skill, it ticks people off that you unlock means to stay alive even longer. When you think about it, using juggernaught, to a CS player would be like admitting you are too clumsy, slow or just plain fail at dodging so much that you need a supporting wheel of extra health.
But all the complaining about perks sounds awfully similar to the gripes about the AWP, and that IS a frustrating weapon. I think that when over a million voices cry foul in unison there might be something to that complaint though?
I can't remember MW making weapons changes in their patches even once (do correct me if I'm wrong) and again comparing to CS who changed their weapons a LOT, with MW thats almost like saying our weapons are so awesome we don't need to modify them, when clearly there's a couple of weapons enthusiasts on their dev team who fubared the multiplayer beyond recognition by favouring a type. I'd make a long rant about how awful all the weapon balances are, but thats not what this thread is for xD
Back to the martyrdom grenade. I think that they could use it in MW2, BUT with some modifications:
1. You'd have to have the actual grenade in your inventory. What? Do you carry around a blessed grenade that you keep in a special place and that you manage to pull in your deaththrows after being shot in the face by a shotgun?
2. Lower explosive range: Shards would possibly not go as far seeing as the body of the martyr might take some of the shrapnel. Actually what stops him from falling onto it, covering the entire blast?
3. Only drop a grenade when dying from a body shot (who would manage to pull a grenade when shot in the head, or blown up?)
4. Make it random wether the character manages to drop the grenade or not with a higher percentage towards managing it. Should make the gameplay more exciting since you don't know if you will drop one or not.
Any ONE of these would've gone a long ways towards fixing the martyr gripe since the benefit is offset by a counter.
