Poll: Should noob tubes be banned on cod

I stopped playing CoD when it became very clear to me they favored the entertainment part over the balance. While entertainment will draw allot of new people in the end it's the balance that counts for keeping a fan base. This is actually one of the reasons I am done with Activision.

The CoD games is horrible it have so many faults that can be fixed easly but they know ppl will still buy the game so instead of making it better they piss on us and don't care.

Honestly, they shouldn't. Infinity Ward incorporated so much garbage into that game that it just became and ugly, unbalanced game. Players can do what the hell they want and use whatever weapon they want. The fact that there is such an overpowered weapon shows just how little thought the developers gave in the making of that game.

Those that make such a big fuss about "Noob Tubes", however, should be banned.

To be honest the fuss over "noobtubers" is moronic at best. Its a grenade launcher, not an exploit, it is meant to be there.

Welcome to the FPS, where one weapon is better than another.

Seriously, learn to play the game. If you're consistently having trouble with such a limited weapon you need to re examine your tactics. That grenade launcher is neither particularly powerful or even the worst grenade launcher in a game! (or the record the superdragon in Perfect Dark wins that one) But you know why people complain about the MW2 one? It's because games affect your rank. Stop caring so much about a game and just learn to cope with it, MW2's guns are some of the more restrained ones in FPS history so you've just got to learn to beat it.

i like MW2 it is a fun game in my opinion there arent really flaws (no i am not kissing ass) it is a well polished game and i think that maybe the people that are ranting maybe dont like the game and should just drop it, also i notice the topic title is spelt cod instead of what everyone has been talking about CoD, so i think yes "noob tubes" should be banned of fish that is just crule. on CoD however i think if you feel that strongly about it dont play it, and certainly dont buy the next one.... but you probably will. then your complain about that one once you have played it to death.

To be honest it's not even that difficult to avoid, use cover and jink from side to side whilst using smoke or some other distraction. Suppressing fire works too. It's a very limited weapon, it only has one shot before reload and you can't use it close in, basically if the guy misses once he's fucked.

Its blast radius is wide enough and the grenade is quick enough that jinxing is useless. And if you manage to close the gap between the first shot and the second, the impact shot will kill you.

People dislike it because it takes minimum skill to use and can cause massive damage. I don't see how people find that hard to understand. Remove it or nerf it to balance the game. Game balance is important.

Noob tubers should only be banned if they continue using the tube after they have unlocked the under barrel shotgun. Otherwise, they couldnt get the xp for fully unlocking all options for a gun.

The problem here is that allot of people think MW2 is supposed to be competitive shooter and when you throw it into that category so many things become wrong with it. The game was meant for casual players and as such the development team spent much more time in what would be "cool" and "exciting" as opposed to what was actually balanced.

Don't make things what they aren't.

While I think the attachment should be harder to unlock, outright banning it is just petty and stupid.

You must remember that there are many problems with the weapon, the inaccuracy and ammo supply as the most obvious. Sure it's annoying when they kill you, but so do most weapons in the game.

Shall we ban the Barret.50cal and the Intervention because you can kill in one shot?

Maybe if you put some fucking detail in your OP we could debate the subject, but the thread has come across as some player who got annoyed at a killstreak being ruined by the weapon. Grow up and adapt to counter the weapon, not just ask people on a forum for their views.

Intervention and Barret need to be amped up... A .50 or a .338 is gonna kill you -and likely the 3 people who happen to be directly behind you- with the first round that hits you. I dont care if you have body armor, are hiding behind a 2 inch steel plate, or are in a tank, those rounds are designed to punch through pretty much anything they hit.

Ah,gone are the days where skill was paramount like in CoD 1 + 2 and now we have perks this and perks that and noob tubes here there and everywhere and more whinefests than, well you see what i'm getting at.
Btw, does anyone still play CoD2 MP nowadays ?
