Fuck no! Memes are the worst thing to come out of the internet. Even Goatse, even 2Girls1Cup is fucking better then the annoying humorless shits that are memes. Of course I finished the game; it took somewhere between 2-3 hours, and I loved every minute of it. But I still consider .. erm, "it" to be a lie, since you didn't exactly get the "going away" party that GLADOS promised, and you didn't actually find the cake in-game, it was more of a 4th wall "wink" from the devs on the title screen and after the credits.

(On a slightly more agreeable note, I have the same exact sentiment when I hear/see cake jokes these days. It's such a mainstream reference that you *know* a large % of the people who use/have used the joke haven't played the game.)

Cake or no, I stand by my original assertion (which appears to be agreed upon by a large majority in this topic) that the joke is old and should be scrapped.

On a side note, I'm looking forward to P2
