I hate all material games due to the possibilty of them not working, and the chance of them getting lost (a high chance with me). It's Gamestop's atmosphere that I REALLY hate though.Worgen said:you cant buy 360/ps3 games on steam, if he bought a used game then it was for one of those and what the fuck is up with all the game stop hate? no one seems to be willing to quantify it at all
He also could have been forced in...TheNamlessGuy said:Since said person was surprised that this happened, we can safely assume it was a first time occurrence.
There's a high possibility that he just didn't have a clue about how awful they are, seeing as he WALKED IN THERE WILLINGLY.
thats stupid, of all the things that can break in a game the disc is on the lower end of the chance of defect, if your a pc gamer at all then you probably know all about hardware conflicts and such, at least with a physical copy you might be able to get a refundThe Amazing Tea Alligator said:I hate all material games due to the possibilty of them not working, and the chance of them getting lost (a high chance with me). Regarding testing the games, they start them up, start a game and assume it works. Working in a shop you can't sit there and play every game for an hour to make sure it's not going to crash, there just isn't the time.
That it didn't work is unfortunate, but they offered to make good. Sending rude emails seems a little excessive.
I have never had a lasting problem with any steam game (I have 77 of the damn things).Worgen said:thats stupid, of all the things that can break in a game the disc is on the lower end of the chance of defect, if your a pc gamer at all then you probably know all about hardware conflicts and such, at least with a physical copy you might be able to get a refund
Seriously. Bastards only ever offered me an exchange or credit.CountFenring said:I'm sorry, am i missing something? He offered you your money back. What's the problem here? Just give it back and get your money. Did you expect a brand new copy for free? More money than you payed?
