I think you have proven why it's illegal, not by the effect but the simplisity to grow it everywhere. All smoking companies would lose half (or even more) of their income and country can't apply taxes to it this way.

We should legalize all drugs.

Add that companies wouldn't hire anyone tested positive of drugs anyway, so that would be a big incentive to not use.

I've never been tested for any jobs in Alaska.

Seriously, you can't just google "marjuania" and then state facts in this thread about it's harmful effects or completely safeness. Get some experience before you develop an opinion for or against anything. I hate when nubs come in here saying "you're all gonna die if you use drugs. Although tobacco doesn't grow as freely as pot, it's still possible to do, and you don't see many Big Tobacco companies complaining about the loss of profits. I think you underestimate the laziness of people. Sure, they grow it now, because they have to. When it becomes legal and buying some weed sticks is as easy as driving to the liquor store, they'll stop.

No we can't. In my more cynical moments I think the reason why marijuana is illegal and tobacco isn't is because tobacco only grows in specific arid environments which is why it can be grown by large corporations and heavily taxed. Anyone with a heat lamp can grow their own marajana if they live in a city. If live in suburbs or a rural area they can grow all they want being taxed or the market being centralized.

It wasn't about you. I was just posting my hatred of nubs who say they don't toke because it's bad for you. On a 1-10 scale of how much drugs affect people, it's a 1. But The Man classifies it as like a Class III substance, up there with cocaine and meth.

I've never been to war, shot myself, ate poison, fought a crocodile and jumped off a building, but I know these things are harmful. Just because you get away unscaved doesn't mean everyone is as lucky.

Mum smoked the stuff when she was young, so no.

Point is, I've seen the negative effects on people around me. A friend after smoking some (who had smoked it before) was rushed to hospital after slashing open her wrists. A firend of my mothers who used to smoke with her is now very warped to say the least, due to his smoking of the weed. I have a few more cases but my point is: It IS a harming chemical. It DOES alter your brains chemicals giving you that high. There are no positives that I can see from that. I like my brain how it is: Normal, if not with a ruined sanity. And no chemcial I would to change that.
