But I have yet to meet anyone who looked good at size 36.
I've yet to find a girl who can successfully ovulate at size 0. Or climb stairs.

I have heard a story about why there are a lot of size 0s though. Possibly apocryphal but here goes.

When women reach a certain size by dieting, they no longer have the ability to ovulate. Basically their periods stop, (And are ready to go as soon as you regain that weight) because of this they stop producing as much estrogen, and switch to testosterone.
This doesn't have the apple growing effect usually because there's not enough energy to fuel changes, but it does mean that the woman don't give off estrogen - and are less likely to be attracted to blokes.

Which is interesting, because there are a LOT of female/gay male fashion designers, who are quite happy dealing with models that are thin (like they want to be), don't have that time of the month and are producing testosterone instead of estrogen.

Whether it's true or not, I couldn't say - but it does seem to fit with something that appears to be against the image of a straight male population - who are fascinated with boobs and butts.

already got it, sort of.. i wear XS, the smallest size available in german stores
i didn't try to do so, i just regularly exercised to lose weight (but not with the goal of size zero) and ended up pretty skinny, sorta runs in the family
it's unhealthy to focuse oneselfe so much on ones weight.. just eat healthy
no more than other women

Male.

Nope.

Because I already eat far too little, and I'm still 9 stone which, at 5'9" is generous enough, imagine how little I'd have to eat to get any thinner.

Stupid, vain and unhealthy.

I prefer girls with some substance to them as it is, if a girl is constantly talking about weight loss above everything else, then she's not worth bothering with. If I wanted to have sex with a carrier bag full of dry twigs, then I'd just do that rather than going to all the trouble of pulling a girl who's that self-centred.

I'll go with women who actually look like women, with the natural rounded physical features that entail. If I want something that looks like a coat tree, I'll go to IKEA.

Male or female?: Male
Are you trying to achieve size zero?: No.
Why/Why not?: I like to eat.
What's your view of others trying to achieve size zero?: Their life, their call. Not my thing, if it's theirs to either possess or woe that's fine by me. I pity them if it's the result of a disorder though.
What's your view of others who have achieved size zero?: Same as above, except also wondering just where to hang my coat.
And most importantly, is size zero actually attractive?: Not to me, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Anything can be attractive to the right - or so very wrong - observer.

The most attractive figure hasn't changed since the 50s in my opinion

Male, not trying to achieve size zero because I imagine I'm somewhere close naturally. As for those trying to achieve it, if that's an important thing to you, get help/better friends/better social circle. Well, I wouldn't mind a skinny guy, not so sure about a skinny girl. Size zero may just be pushing it.

-Female

-...sort of

-Not exactly "become a size zero" but just lose weight. I think every girl feels that there's at least a part of their body that is sort of big. I'm a size 1 (or 3 depending) and I know that's pretty average but I can't help how I feel. :|

-As long as they go about it healthily, I don't see what the problem is.

-My friend's a size zero, and she's petite not anorexic. She looks nothing like the picture posted. That's like triple zero, brah.

-It can be.

Male or female? Female
Are you trying to achieve size zero? Hells no...
Why/Why not? Schweetie, I've never been less than a (UK) size 10 in my life (well, once I bean-pole'd my way out of kids' sizes...), and people thought I was too skinny then, me included...
What's your view of others trying to achieve size zero? Stupid. And dangerously unhealthy.
What's your view of others who have achieved size zero? As above, plus, they look hofficically malnourished.
And most importantly, is size zero actually attractive? Hell no. Skin and bone is never a good look. Pity that (seemingly at least) UK fashions seem to cater more for girls without any boobs or bum.

Female, and no, I definitely would not try to achieve size zero. I'm at a healthy weight, and besides, the average Aussie women is a size 14 or thereabouts, and I'm a size 8 (US size 4, I think), so my self-esteem in that respect is fine. If I ever feel bad about my appearance, I just go outside and have a look at the average Australian. Besides, most stores don't carry a size smaller than 6, so I can't imagine where I'd shop if I was a size 0.

I just don't like hearing about people who eat, what, 600 calories a day, and idolise superthin models. Wanting to be fit and healthy is one thing, but losing weight for purely cosmetic reasons to resemble an unrealistic ideal is ridiculous. I can't help but think it's pointless. I mean, there are so many other ways to feel good about yourself without turning into a stick.

And no, I don't find it attractive at all. There's something rather frightening about people who are that thin. It looks really unhealthy, for either gender. Aside from the fact that I would never date a guy skinnier than me, I also wouldn't want to sleep with a girl who was essentially skin and bone. I have a friend who stopped going to school for almost a year due to an eating disorder. It's not just the weight loss - they have no energy, their skin looks awful, their nails and hair are all brittle and dead looking - it's just not good.

Male.

Noh.

I'm a guy. I am size small. This is fine. Though I did have anorexia.

Pity, really. No-one should do it to themselves, it's just not attractive.

If it makes them happy, then good for them, it's up to themselves what they do with their body, I suppose.

No. I find it unattractive because...well, a bit of flesh is good haha, not just bone. I also liek bewbz.

I'm male, 6'4'' and my shoulders scrape the sides of subway turnstiles. There is no way I could be a size zero without massive amounts of surgery.
It looks hideous on wimmenz, the only people I could see finding it attractive are those with a weird fetish.

I'm not a fan of size 0 myself, I like some curves on my women, size 0's have an unfortunate tendency to look like 12-year-olds.

Male or female? Female
Are you trying to achieve size zero? Nope. I'm trying to get back to a UK size 10.
Why/Why not? I don't think I'd look good like that, and I'm not interested in being thin, just in no longer being fat.
What's your view of others trying to achieve size zero? Their call.
What's your view of others who have achieved size zero? I know some people who achieved it accidentally. I view them the same way as I view everyone else on earth. They're humans, worthy of the same respect and dignity anybody else deserves
And most importantly, is size zero actually attractive? I know someone who's that small who's quite cute - she didn't put any effort into it and wishes she could gain weight. It all really depends on the body and whether it's proportional or not. It wouldn't be on my frame, but it is on hers. All there is to it, really. Also,I dispute that this is the most important question. The important question is 'are they happy?' which is entirely subjective and up to the individual in question.
