Who didn't see this coming?

Look over at the Beth forums. Every fanboy over there has been cooing for years for TES to be turned into the Sim's.
It's just more shallow shit, into an already sparse action hack and slash.

anc[is]Can I get a translation into big boy dollars? That doesn't seem worth more than $5, but since they charged twice as much for Dawnguard than they did for all the FO3 expansions I wouldn't be surprised if this was $10.
Sorry for using Microsoft Points, but that's what's gonna be the currency people use to buy it on XBOX, which is where you'll have to buy it until the PC version ships.

I remember when Bethesda used to release EXPANSION PACKS, not mediocre DLC.

And I remember playing games before PC Gamers were whining about how all of the DLC in the world can be done by modders.

How about under 5 Euro, and release it for all platforms?
Not that I think it's a good piece of DLC, by any stretch of the imagination, but Bethesda's lack of giving a shit for any platform other than the X360 is unforgivable, and I'm through giving them any more of my money.

Bethesda is pushing out a simple DLC to get out of the 30-day timed exclusivity contract with Microsoft.
This. I'm convinced after Dawnguard Bethesda is just going to put out smaller bits of DLC like this until they get out of their contract with MS so they can release future DLC's on all 3 platforms simultaneously.

And LOL at all the typical PC gamers thinking they're the only people who play this game.

Sounds like it will be nice for the console players.

Though any PC player should avoid it if they have half a brain.
I agree. Ish. The average PC player who has Skyrim has mods, and there are a fuck-tonne of house mods for Skyrim (Or any Bethesda game). But on the other hand, it's the closest console players have to creatively change the game. Ish.

You know what I mean.

DLC for Skyrim is 0 for 2 with me as well. I may have played the hell out of Skyrim, but after I saw that the spells never got very interesting, and the unique items worth using as opposed to generic ones you make are few and far between the excitement to go explore is almost nothing.

The sad thing is that I have yet to even talk to any npcs in Markarth that aren't involved in Dibella/Mara/Molag Bal quests.

Never even started Namira's quest because I just used the 2 from Hircine for the trophy.

I don't think that Bethesda will actually deliver any DLC for this game that I just have to have.

Modders on the other hand have scores of great stuff out there.

Dark Souls already has my money when the consoles get their shot at Ooacile.

Borderlands 2 isn't even OUT yet and they already have my money on any and all DLC they could possibly release.

Bethesda must have better funding and resources than both From and Gearbox combined and yet the only things they seem to excel at are making a good looking game, with a lot of acreage, and a crapton of voiced dialogue.

The locations don't need to be mindblowing, the combat can suck, the quests can have only one great one per every 15, the plot can be summed up in a paragraph, and the dialogue can be boring and repetitive, but as long as there is enough sheer VOLUME in the game of random shit to do there has to be something for everyone to like right?

Well they already announced the price to be 400 Microsoft points and release on xbox September 4th.

As for me I might pick it up when it comes to the pc, even though there are mods that do the same the official product is higher quality than mods and I support the developer.
Have you even looked at the housing mods that are available?
You know, when companies see that they are having difficulty selling a product because they let you do something for free it is not the paid product that will go, but letting people make mods.

When was this?

This might not count if it is considered DLC and not an expansion.

Bethesda bringing back Oblivion's small DLC style...

This is bullshit.
Because SI was so small? Think about it. DG is NotN, this is the guild houses and up nex is a Shivering Isles (Hopefully.)

I wonder if EA will sue Bethesda for infringing on the Sims territory like they are Zynga.

I don't know how the points system works, since I'm on the PS3, so I voted for the smallest option, because it doesn't look like it should be worth very much at all.

A fan based mod in the Skyrim Workshop already created this. What is the point, there are more bloody House DLC in the workshops to the point of spam than actual balanced good fun re textured or nice balanced armor mods out there.

Why not release some more Foresworn stuff and have as an actual faction and make your house building a part of it....
