What would you do?

I myself have yet to go from point A to B without making at least 4 detours.
I just can't help myself.
Especially now that I've picked up alchemy.
I now have to pick every plant, and insect, that I see as well.

I've walked round mountains, strolled over them, explored them or if on a specific quest line, fast-travelled closer to my location so I can get the quest done quicker. It all depends on what I've got in mind at the time.

I've found skyrim isn't at all as interesting as Fallout was. So I'm not as inclined to explore. So I either fast travel, or go right over it.

It also doesn't help that I know I won't find any cool special weapons. All the best stuff is crafted, since the mechanics for player skills are woefully broken. It's all....eh, so I suppose the longer i play, the more I fast travel, because there's no need to explore, and no fun to be had by it really..

Explore. Everything. Always. I climb the damn mountain, no damn rock is gonna stop this Orc, and hit every cave, mine, dragon mound, redoubt, fort, castle, small hole, Th'uum, or whatever else I find on my way. I can't help it. Also, working on my alchemy so I harvest, and either eat or mix everything.

Fuck going over it, I go straight through it.

We don't tolerate mountains getting in our way. Teach them.

This. So much this. Seeing as the best gear in the game is the Daedric outfit when enhanced properly and enchanted properly. As soon as I learned that and figured I already had the best gear the game had to offer, my interest in the game went straight down. Done with most quests, so don't see a reason to keep playing when I can't improve SOMEHOW.

But, I usually try to find a shortcut around it if possible. The mountain, that is.

The thing I've figured out in this game is that there is always a road, so I wander around the mountain to find it, climb to the top, and see if there's any dragons there.

Yeah, I just explore all the things until I reach my weight limit.

Plenty of that.

Also, probably searching through the caves / ruins etc. They're pretty interesting, a hell of a lot more than Oblivion's anyway.

Any time I fast travel to get to a new location, it's guaranteed there's a mountain in the way.

Every single time.

It's uncanny.

I've trekked more mountains than I ever did in Oblivion. I fast travel to cut down on time once in a while but mostly walking is my main mode of transportation.

Just use that glitch jump which helps you go up mountains that got a 90degrees tilt on them. Fuck roads, I'm not a peasant!

I don't really care about mountains - it's my destination I'm focused on. Whenever I need to go somewhere, I travel in the straightest possible line until I get there. Only when my character's fuzzy Khajiit face goes BONK against a massive, vertical wall of Skyrim rock, will I consider taking a small detour.
