My self imposed backstory has made me favor the Stormcloaks. I have even killed a few Imperials I found being attacked by bandits. By making this decision, I have found myself actually hating Imperial sympathizer NPCs. Like the battle-born clan of Whiterun.

My backstory: I am a Nord born in Cyrodiil but always heard of the realm of Skyrim and the Nord culture there. Finally, after having a distaste for Cyrodiil over all, I made a journey to go see Skyrim. I had only been in Skyrim for a couple days on the border when I was captured by the Imperials and sentenced to death.

I REALLY like how the imperial soldiers look and sound in this game. That is my reason for siding with them.

Those Imperial bastards had better get out of Skyrim before I kill them all, that's what I think! They should have known better than to piss off the craziest viking to ever wander the frozen north!

My reasons for standing with the Stormcloaks is the fact that their uniform has pants, not a skirt and they didn't try to kill me at the start of the game for crossing the damn border.

It would have been a much tougher choice if the kill thing wouldn't have been there. Also, Ulfric is kind of awesome.

I'm not siding with anyone yet.

I'm the freaking Archmage of the college of Winterhold; they're gonna have to beg me if they want me to join 'm.

Plus, Ulfric seems like kind of a douchebag.

Well I side with the Stormcloaks but the Imperials have Whiterun and the tundra and I really like that place. Also, I'd prefer to keep more quests open for the time being and not have to not go into certain cities for fear of being attacked by the guards.

Hate to burst your bubble, but the Vikings rose after Rome was sacked.

To poop on you even more, Viking mercenaries worked as the elite protectors of Byzantine Emperors, as the Varangian Guard. :b

Having played oblivion, and have good grasp on the Lore my first char (of many) will side with the Empire, its not as grand as it once was, but it still does its best for the good of the people. the Stormcloaks shouldn't be fighting the Empire, they should be fighting the Thalmar.

Also Kunsper Whiterun is neutral.

I'm not a big fan of the stormcloaks since they're asses to anyone who isn't a nord, Plus I think Ulfric stormcloak is just engineering all of this to increase his own power. I get that the nords are upset at the ban on Talos worship, but seceding and weakening the empire even further seems like a greater affront to Tiber Septim's legacy than not being able to pray at some statue. On top of that, siding against the empire only helps the Aldmeri Dominion, and by extension the Thalmor. Leaving the empire will only make it easier for the Dominion to come in and conquer skyrim, at which point I'd bet the stormcloaks would wish they were still under imperial rule.

I don't know yet.

Racist Vikings or Biggus Dickus with Skirt...

I'm gonna wait for a better faction mod...

Well I originally went with the stormcloaks, because the imperials tried to kill me and they also banned the worship of the main nordic God.
But seeing the racism in the stormcloaks wanting to get rid of everyone makes me really not sure anymore.
I also think all the lands should be united under the empire, while still having their cultural stuff.
So I'm kindof undecided.

I vote for myself. I will be the High King of Skyrim and separate from the empire while I'm at it. Mwahahaha!

Second choice, Stormcloaks.

I'm taking a RPG stance on this.

My Nord male being a proud son of Skyrim born and raised, I initially had no problems with the empire ruling over Skyrim...that was until I was drafted into the war effort in another continent.

During my time as a solider I saw the weakened state of the empire and the corruption enforced over all provinces of the world and knew if left unchecked the mother land would fall to the old empires ways. Upon my return from the war effort I was captured crossing the border and that's where Skyrim begins.

in short I'm all for the storm cloaks.

Unless he just meant that he preferred Viking's conceptually more than anything else?

And I myself am undecided, although I'm definitely leaning towards the Stormcloaks because fuck the Empire tryna kill me! However I won't choose a side until I've completed my tasks in the Tower of Ultimate Wizardy (I mean Winterhold)

I was pro-Stormcloak until I read this argument, and now I'll be switching to the Legion.

Yeah im with you on that, I'm leader of the dark brotherhood, my prison and torture rooms are packed full of innocent people. I would join the stormcloaks but Ulfric is a racist who only cares about Nords, he leaves Kajeet like me to die if we're hit by bandits.

I'm with the Stormcloaks, being a Son of Skyrim and all, but I don't agree with Ulfric, so I shall remain as Thane of Whiterun and protect my people from both sides of the war.
