Which Revival doctor is your favorite?
Mine is Matt Smith. Although I love David Tennant, and Christopher Eccleston had his moments, I just like the 11th's personality better.

So what about you?

David Tennant is the best. He's the reason I watched it, and it's hard to watch without him now I feel.

I liked Christopher a lot, but when freaking Casanova shows up in your Doctor Who and sticks around, I just can't say no.

From what I've seen of them, David Tennant was by far the best, and pretty much everyone I know who watches the show feel the same, perhaps even more so then I.

David is my favorite, but Matt is quickly catching up. Chris was good, but he just wasn't in it long enough to make the kind of impact David and Matt have.

Haven't watched any episodes with Smith as The Doctor (I'm two episodes into the 4th season of the new show), but from the two actors I've seen up to this point, I prefer Eccleston. Which is, of course, not to say that Tennant is bad.

Well seeing as you're not including any classic Doctors I'm choosing Smith.

Eccleston was good, Tennant was terrible(poor writing most likely the cause). Smith is more like the classic Doctors than the other two and he gives an unparalleled depth and believability to the character.

I guess Matt Smith for me.
I loved Eccleston's ego.
I loved Tennant's crazy.
Smith seems better rounded, but he needs a bit more crazy and a bit more ego and then I'm good.

Trouble is Eccleston buggered off and Tennant went....well...too weepy. Gawd. Also, too much was solved with a wave of the screwdriver which put me off some. Deus Ex Machina and all.

I prefer Christopher Eccleston because he way MY first doctor. It took quite a while until I warmed up to Tennant. And Smith? Meh...
Eccleston is my doctor!

But I have to catch up with the old doctors.

I just wonder if the doctor will be a kid somewhen. He gets younger and younger (in his appearence), maybe Doctor Who will be a kids show in the future...

I really like David Tennant, most likely because I liked russel t davies writing better.

I know this bi polar chic that matt smith looks and acts exactly like, it creeps me out a little.

They got rid of Rose during Tennant, and introduced the Weeping Angels. On the other hand, they introduced Jesus Tinkerbell Doctor. During Smith, they brought the Weeping Angels back, just changing everything that made them any good in the first place, and then the universe exploded repeatedly and Rory's 2k years old and plastic except he's not and there was a grand conspiracy between everyone and everyone else to get rid of the Doctor but none of them thought of shooting him and...well, on the other hand, there was that Neil Gaiman story.

Hard to say, really, there's lots of fail to go round, and only the odd decent bit to make up for it.

I really like Eccelston, I think people preffered David and forgot about him. I said equally. I've really enjoyed all of their Doctor's.

Tennant holds the top spot for me but Smith has been growing on me over the past couple of episodes. The list of things he has made cool keeps getting longer, right now I think it's bow ties, fezzes, stetsons, and bunk beds. I liked Eccleston a good deal but then Tennant came along and now I can barely remember his name.

I didnt see much Eccleston, so that rules him out for me (even if he was great). David Tennant put a lot of emotion into his Doctor and he's Scottish which gives him a bonus point. Matt Smith has a good Doctor personality, and some of the plotlines are good but the great ones have Rory at the center.

This I agree with. My friend and I really liked DR E and were wary of the DR T change but he is really good. I haven't gotten to the latest one I'm still catching up but he looks awfully music theater from what I have seen. 9 you believe he knows what he is doing, 10 you don't but you know he will get there anyway and be brilliant doing it. When 9 is wrathful its expected, when 10 is he looks downright crazy.

TL;DR Why does the OP seem to hate the 9th?

The difficultly here is the variable writing between story arcs. Each of the seasons (and consequently, the actors) faced the issue of careening between campy 'villain-of-the-week' episodes and the inevitable end-of-season 'threat to the universe'. Over the course of multiple seasons there was a regrettable amount of oneupmanship between writers that lead to some outrageously over the top story arcs. In this context, it is difficult to attribute the qualities of each Doctor's persona to the actor ("he was too __" / "he's wasn't ___ enough"). This is not to say that certain traits were not magnified by the actors performances.

Keeping all this in mind, Tennant is tops. Hands-down. He's got the gravitas, the humour and the passion that befits the last of the Timelords.

I can't get into Matt smith doctor, mostly the whole new TARDIS and the fact that when Matt Smith is the doctor he looks like a goofy looking young Thomas Edison.

All three of them have done well. I liked Tennant, but I prefer Smith; and I think Eccelston was excellent and it's a real shame we didn't get him for a few more seasons.

Tennant was too much like #5 for my tastes, something that was quite apparent even in his first episode. I'd be curious to learn the favorite Doctors of Eccelston and Smith.
