Poll: Smoking, attractive or disgusting?

Neither. I look at smoking the same way I look at someone eating a greasy fast food burger. Someone doesn't look more or less attractive taking a bite of it just as smoking does the same. (For the smell imagine the burger had onions on it.) I was raised around smokers and the smell, while not exactly lavender, doesn't bother me that much.

Smoking, to me, is neither attractive nor disgusting. Certainly not the latter, as I like to smoke cigarettes, pipe, cigars, weed and salvia divinorum.

There is, however, a certain image we people associate with smoking. People who smoke pipes are intellectuals, cigar smokers are classy, cigarette smokers fast, furious and dangerous. Stoners are, well... Stoners. Et cetera ad infinitum.

I don't mind a girl smoking. If anything, it's a new source of cigarettes when I'm out and, more importantly, if the both of you smoke, you don't notice it when you're kissing.

I grew up around neighbors who smoked cigarettes, and even when they weren't smoking they still smelt like it. It was disgusting enough for me to swear them off. Now my sister does it, and it annoys the hell out of me, especially since she does it behind our parentals back.

Tobacco makes me nauseous. Not sick, just woozy. I neither find it attractive nor disgusting, but I do have to leave the immediate area when someone is smoking.

I hate the smell but I enjoy doing it. It isnt attractive but people really shouldn't care about it. I some situations, although rare, it does make you look cool though.

Its actually kind of funny... the people that live next to me smoke both pot and cigarettes, the pot doesn't bother me, but the tobacco does. Odd, isn't it? (PS: I hate pot)

Each to his own beliefs. I personally dont enjoy the smell of cigs, just smells... blergh.

I do have a thing for Cigars/Pipe though, but on a HIGHLY RARE occasion.

In my opinion, smoking is totally disgusting, and should not be done by anyone, unless they're a cool 80 year-old with a pipe. In fact, if people just used pipes, it'd look so much better...

Sorry, my mind is wandering. No, I find smoking totally repulsive. Did I mention I like pipes? I'm getting one from eBay to chew on whilst pondering...

As long as they smoke outside and don't blow the smoke in my face or anything it's fine. Not "attractive" but not really "disgusting" either. I would prefer that people didn't smoke though due to the health problems/smell and all that what not though :/.

I smoke myself but I can't say I find a person more attractive if they smoke or not.

Yeah, I have to admit I'm surprised at how big the majority against smoking is, and how opinionated said majority is. One could say the smokers are getting *dons sunglasses* smoked.

It's because the last thread on smoking got a bit heated at times and the anti-smoking evangelists just refused to accept that there are actually decent and considerate smokers out there. Everyone that owned up to smoking in that thread seem to be missing from this one. Probably bored with the discussion by now!

Me, I smoke because I enjoy it, and I won't be alive long enough for cancer to get me anyway! I don't find anyone more or less attractive if they smoke. But I wouldn't want to force my smokey self on a non-smoker that wasn't cool with it. I generally carry strong minty gum with me.

fat people dont affect me in any way shape or form, hell they make me feel good about my size and shape, but regardless

i guess that is true, but then wouldn't smokers do that also? just about anything not healthy for you would do the same?
