Sometimes I'll smoke a cigar or two, if I'm drinking or on a special occasion or something. I'm really glad I never tried cigarettes - my mom and sister are both hopelessly addicted.

Improves your chance of getting cancer?

Surely you mean increases your chance of getting cancer.

Cancer isn't a desirable thing you want to get...

I only smoke when going out and drinking a beer, which is usually one day a week, on a weekend. So I guess I'm not addicted, because I can go on forever without smoking. But for some reason, my brain is wired to have a cigarette when I'm having a drink. As soon as I have a sip of alcohol, I want to have a smoke too.

I'd like to quit it, because I feel like shit on the next day. But it's some kind of ritual that has burnt itself into my mind.
I know how that feels. Im not addicted, i can go without quite easily and often do. But when im drinking i just get the urge to smoke, often ruining my non smoking streak

I smoke every day, about an average of 5 cigarettes a day. I don't blame people for thinking it's stupid. I couldn't understand why people would want to (start) smok(ing) when i didn't smoke yet. I just started because I was going through a real hard period in my life and it was either that or a bullet.

Why do I keep smoking? Well if you're addicted it feels like being thirsty. Your entire body wants to smoke and the longer you wait the harder it gets. And it feels soooooooo good sometimes. Also it is fun to just sit outside with friends and talk a little whilst smoking.

On my geology fieldtrip in 6th form we had to climb up to the top of a fairly steep sided hill to get a good view of the surrounding rock form in the hills around. Anyway, we were all out of breath when we reached the top, especially the smokers. But what did the smokers do immediately? you guessed it.

I smoke clove cigarettes, like a pack every four days. Sometimes more depends on who I'm with or what I'm up to that day. Like I won't smoke around my dad who just quit in December, but if I'm with other people who smoke and we're talking, I'll smoke like a chimney. The cloves don't make you stink like normal cigarettes do and I refuse to smoke in my own house. If someone says it's okay to smoke inside, I will.

I've smoked a few cigars in my time, and more weed than I probably should have. Never tried cigarettes though. Not really planning on it.

Good Luck. My dad has said that more times than I can count for the past 40 years.

I fail to see how that's a bad thing.
I don't care for it myself, but as long as nobody blows smoke in my face it doesn't matter if they smoke, to me.
This...verbatim.

Who cares if people do or not, its their choice. Sure smoking isn't the healthiest choice and you may get lung or mouth or throat cancer; but if you smoke you also rarely get parkinsons and alziehmers like many of the elderly because the nicotine stimulates enzymes and hormones in the brain.

The truth about smoking is that it improves chance of cancer, as does anything else. The single most cause of cancer is electrical radiation. Cereals, electricity, red bull. They all cause cancer. You just need to weigh the consequences with the benefits.
Consequences: money drain, lung cancer, stained teeth, emphysema(lung disease), bad smell, strokes, heart disease, impotence.

Benefits: You look kewl! (until you leave high school)

Edit:

Ever heard of second hand smoke? I don't want to die an early death because of your "choice."
