Do you smoke?
Yes

What is you opinion on other people smoking? Is it their right to choose?
Yes it is your body and if you are old enough you should decide what to do with it.

What do you think of smokers?
They are humans just like the rest of us.

Do you think smoking should be banned, or sales of tobacco banned, or some sort of legal enforcement to halt smoking?
They already banned smoking from most public places so second hand smoking is out of the question. People should be allowed to smoke even if it is bad for you.

Have you previously been a smoker, and quit? How was quitting?
I tried "quitting" a few times but I am not motivated enough to quit. My parents sometimes wanted me to quit but I never really wanted to quit so I started again after a few days.

My mother quitted smoking after 20 years of smoking. She did it without gum and patches and I am proud of her she managed to do that. I hope that I will be able to pull that off someday in the future.

I smoke cigs and marijuana in a pipe or bong, though nargilla/shisha is fun.
I started in first year of university because I've always wanted to, I come from a place where smoking is not that big of a deal. I used to smoke a single cig on Fridays because I had a long 40 minutes walk to my class back then.
I regularly smoke half a pack to a pack a day of 25s, but have cut back to 5-6 a day.
I love it, I truly enjoy cigs and because of my general oral fixation its a great help in getting my mind off things.
I do not regret smoking, but that's because I'm still in my early 20s. That may change.
If you smoke daily, you are addicted. Even if its only 1 a day.
Education will never explain how smoking feels, only the objective health facts. As such, it can't be accurate. Consider that they will never really try to tell you how awesome coccaine feels because that is really not the purpose of health education. They don't want you doing a risk-benefit calculation, because that would mean that Marijuana, LSD, and shrooms would show to be worth the risk (and that undermines the education). Though cigs are far worse than those 3 in terms of health.

What I hate worst is judgmental people. I will never tell someone they are horrible people because they do ecstasy or coke or shrooms or McDonald's, and I expect the same in return from others. The Golden Rule will show that acting like an a$$ at someone else's vice is hypocritical and stupid. I knew a kid that was constantly awful to me about it, turns out he had a gambling addiction and stole $300 from his roommate. I have never stolen money for cigs, and he thought he had the moral authority to be a di$$ because cigs are considered the worst evil in society (which they are clearly not).

never smoked, never will, never understood why people do. i don't like cigarettes and i know it's not fair, but i generally don't like those who do. on my last college course there were literally 3 of us who didn't smoke, 4 by the end, of course i made firends but i spaced myself from them when they were smoking. also my step-dad smokes (which is probably part of the reason why i hate smokers) and as he knows full well the smoke clings to the fibre on his clothes and thus damages me, my mum and my little brother, also my smoking he is encouraging him to pick up the habit when he grows up but he doesn't care, he tried to quite but, unlike 2 of my 16 year old friends, he gave up

smoking is disgusting, pointless and inconsiderate, end of

I've never smoked.

If you don't smoke, do you mind others smoking, or do you hate cigarette smoke?
I don't mind people smoking. Sure, it doesn't smell nice, but there are plenty of people who generate bad smells to begin with...

What is you opinion on other people smoking? Is it their right to choose?
Their right to choose to smoke. Wait, isn't this just the same as the first question?

What do you think of smokers?
I'm not the sort of person to judge someone based solely on whether or not they smoke. That'd be like assuming that people who ask this question do. And that's terrible.

Do you think smoking should be banned, or sales of tobacco banned, or some sort of legal enforcement to halt smoking?
No. Let them ban cigarette's, next they'll ban alcohol, then caffeine, then painkillers. It sounds like a ridiculous argument, I know, but you've got to realize, to the ban-brigade, tobacco is just an interchangeable evil. Once it's out of the way, they'll need to find a new "evil" to campaign against.

Wait, isn't this just the same as the second question, and wasn't that just the same as the first question? Why could all of these be rolled into a single big question?

Have you previously been a smoker, and quit? How was quitting?
No.

What's some advice you would give to a smoker for quitting?
I wouldn't presume myself to be in the position to be able to give advice on this sort of topic.

Used to.
Then I wanted to use the money I spent on cigarettes on other stuff.
So I quit and bought candy instead.

Do you smoke?
No
If you don't smoke, do you mind others smoking, or do you hate cigarette smoke?
nah, it doesn't bother me really.
What is you opinion on other people smoking? Is it their right to choose?
tobaccos one of the oldest cash crops in my country, if people want to smoke tobacco thats fine. (pot on the other hand grinds my gears but i digress)
What do you think of smokers?
just dont do it in my house or car. the smell takes forever to get out. other wise its fine.
Do you think smoking should be banned, or sales of tobacco banned, or some sort of legal enforcement to halt smoking?
Not at all, if we did that it would mean the job loss of god knows how many people, and the stab at peoples right of what helped my country exist. besides i dont think regular tobacco is a hazard to anyone besides the smoker (second hand smoke, possibly)
Have you previously been a smoker, and quit? How was quitting?
meh tried it once, didnt care.
What's some advice you would give to a smoker for quitting?
a patch? look on the surgeon generals warning?

Yes because it harms other people. I don't oppose banning alcohol (even though I don't drink) because you can drink alcohol without causing other people to suffer. However, you can't smoke without causing harm to other people.
Me and my friends sit in the middle of a field with no one else around to smoke. That doesn't hurt anyone. On the other hand, alcohol causes more harm and risk to the non user than smoking, due to drinking-related violence etc. I understand completely what you're saying, but there's a lot of grey areas you seem to miss

Personally i like the feeling of inhaling the smoke. I haven't had enough for long enough to get properly addicted - i haven't even had a whole cigarette yet, i usually pass the rest to my friends when I don't feel like it anymore.

More grey areas people are missing.

I've smoked about 3 times.

The first was while chilling in the park with some friends. I had 2 proper tokes where I inhaled a bit too much and started coughing a lot :L Didn't really enjoy it.
The other two times was while I was drunk so I was loving it.
I don't know why but I think it might be the smell. I really like the smell of most brands, some because they remind me of my grandma who smoked and some just because.

I wouldn't actually become a full time smoker though because of the cost and health problems.

I don't mind smokers because I like the smell and second hand smoke really isn't as fucking terrible as people seem to think it is. But I do think that it should be restricted enough so that people who do mind it can live smoke free. (The UK no-smoking in public places law was a good move in my opinion).

But I don't like this fucking self righteous idea that a lot of people have that it's their responsibility to "cure" the rest of us from our life-style choices.

Maybe I haven't experienced enough of life to really give an knowledgeable view on this (being only 16) but I am sick to death of people who refuse to realise that there are good effects of using drugs just because there are bad effects as well. It's called a comprise, if they are willing to risk it then it's not your place to tell them they shouldn't. And a lot of so called "Experienced views" are more like "No you can't smoke, a few people I know died because of it!".

I would rather have an exciting short life of drugs, alcohol and cigs than live 100 years of boredom.

Do you smoke? What do you prefer to smoke?
Yes, I smoke regularly, I prefer canadian classic brand cigarrettes

Why do you smoke/why did you start?
Because I felt like trying it.

How much do you smoke? Cigarettes per day (packs per day if relevant)
About 3/4 of a pack per day.

If you do smoke, do you enjoy it?
I enjoy it immensely.

Do you smoke regularly? Or just occasionally?
Regularly.

Do you regret smoking?
Nope.

Do you think you are addicted to smoking?
I'd be shocked if I wasn't

Was your school education on smoking accurate to the real thing, in your opinion?
Ahahahahahahaa no.

He's right, there is an enjoyable feeling for some people. People react differently to different things. And if you "THINK" it's pleasant because you're satisfying an addiction then does that change the fact that it still feels pleasant?
I do understand that for some people it gets to the point that they get no benefit from it other than to stabilise their mood by the way. Just sayin'

If you don't smoke, do you mind others smoking, or do you hate cigarette smoke?

I can't sit near someone that just smoked. I politely leave. The smell makes me nauseous.

What is you opinion on other people smoking? Is it their right to choose?

They should smoke away from people who dislike it. Their act poses a health issue- if they truly feel they should have the right to smoke anywhere, they're full of it.

What do you think of smokers?

Simply that they're a bit foolish for doing something that is seriously unhealthy, though I would never call them bad people unless they were the ones that act like they're persecuted. I understand that they're sometimes treated unfairly, but when they act like they're on trial for being a witch, I lose all respect.

Do you think smoking should be banned, or sales of tobacco banned, or some sort of legal enforcement to halt smoking?

Yes. But it isn't my right to enforce anything like that.

I can't answer any of the other questions. I can't give any real advice on how to quit. I feel like I might be a bit too drill-sergeanty on the matter o_O

EDIT: I could also never date a girl that smoked. It's my biggest turn off, especially moreso after finding out my last girlfriend started smoking behind my back and lied about it to my face when I caught her with a pack.

I don't smoke. Never have, probably never will (I'm tempted to try it at least once). Pretty much my whole family smokes, so the smell of smoke is kind of.. calming? As for other people smoking, it's their life and their decision.

Then i felt those brands could no longer satiate my hunger for nicotine. And now I'm smoking the heavy stuff. Currently Gudang Garam Filter. It's from Indonesia, and I'm Indonesian ^^
And it's freaking heavy :D
This might be ... ok, this is, pretty weird, but do you speak Indonesian?

Karena saya belajar bahasa Indonesia di kuliah. Apakah ada kemungkinan Anda mau membantu saya memperlancar bahasa Indonesia saya, dan belajar bahasa yang kurang formal?

I will be very embarrassed if I got that wrong, but do point it out if I did please.

ANYWAY:
Do you smoke? What do you prefer to smoke?
I suppose so, I'm still experimenting with brands because I only started at the beginning of this year.
Why do you smoke/why did you start? I was curious. It turned out I enjoyed it, and I want to die, so you know, no reason not to.
How much do you smoke? Cigarettes per day (packs per day if relevant) I'm a really casual smoker. The most I've had is about four in one day, and I will often go a few days without smoking, sometimes up to a week or two.
If you do smoke, do you enjoy it? Yes, quite a bit.
Do you regret smoking? No, but I might in the future.
Do you think you are addicted to smoking? No, definitely not at the moment, and I don't think I will get addicted. I realise it's a possibility, but if I start getting cravings I'll probably give it a rest for a bit, until I decide it's safe to start again. Or I might just quit altogether, and I fully believe I can. I firmly believe meat is a thousand times more difficult to quit than cigarettes, and I gave that up around the same time I took up smoking.
Was your school education on smoking accurate to the real thing, in your opinion? Not really. They tried to pretend that smoking only relaxes you if you are already addicted, and it actually causes stress rather than reducing it. That's absolute bullshit. It was relaxing and enjoyable the first time I tried it, so it can't have been my brain calming down 'cause it got its "hit" or whatever.

I try to be considerate though. If I'm with someone, I'll always ask if they mind if I smoke around them, and if I'm in a crowded public place, like the uni bus stops, I'll refrain just in case.

I don't smoke, but I'm not one of those people who harass smokers to quit. If they want to smoke, let them.

Do you smoke?
Yes.
What do you prefer to smoke?
I smoke survivors, or occasionally just corpses if I can.
Why do you smoke?
It wasn't my choice to start, though the way the cancerous virus inflamed my body, made my tongue long, and caused me to generate nicotine gas all on my own, I didn't have much of a choice.
How much do you smoke?
I'm lucky to find just one or two survivors, and I don't always get to hold onto them long.
If you smoke, do you enjoy it?
Yes, but not when the survivor himself is smoking.
Do you regret smoking?
I don't think about regrets; it's hard to think about much of anything with such a mutated brain.
Do you think you are addicted to smoking?
Given the change in my biology it's been difficult to think about smoking any other way. There's no really effective way for me to "quit" anymore now that smoke comes from my own pulsating bile.
