I've actually done similar things before with less money involved.

Also no. Even if I wanted the money I don't think I could kill someone.

Well in this hypothetical situation, I am a supervillain. So I tell him to meet me in the back alley, kill him take the money, and than go kill the other dude for the lulz.

But in real life, hell no. I'd probably try to find a way to get the briefcase though.

DOWN WITH THE WITH THE BLOODY RED QUEEN, FOR THE PEOPLE FOR FREEDOOOOOOOOOOM!

*cough* Got a little carried away there, but ultimately do I get to decide who to kill? Cause Kony's starting to look very much like a practice target.
Put me in a room with him and I would kill the man. He is a slaver and a tyrant, as for who i would kill... tyrants. we established that yes? They are rather easily sorted from non-tyrants yes? I mean if we are just talking about levels of tyranny then is does become somewhat hard to define but I suppose the best way to out it is actions forced by threat of death.

You threaten another person to do what you say by force of death than you fucking die.

Im guessing 141 wanted to look cool on the internet. Id say more like 5 people max would do it in real life. The rest of you are trying to look cool and tbh its sickening. When did it become "cool" to not care about killing another human being. Its not cool. Its disgusting. Its sickening to the very core of my being that people think its "cool".

Im not disgusted by the claim. I dont think for a second the dark internet psyco types mean a single word of it. I seriously dont. What i do think is that the current "cool trend" is based on qualities that are contemptable and make you a terrible terrible human being.

No. No i couldnt look someone in the eyes and kill an innocent person. Not for any amount of money.

Some people are joking in the poll of course. Kudos to them. I just find the "dark misanthropic dude with no concience" trope possibly one of the uncoolest filthiest things ive ever seen.

Basically if you think its right to commit murder for money you dont follow societies rules. By that basis its perfectly acceptable and logical for someone to murder YOU or your immediate family for money and youd have no issue at all with it. You wouldnt complain or think its bad or anything. Otherwise youre a hypocrit.

I would do it in a flat second, but then again I am not someone who tries to white knight to make myself look good!
Perhaps the people that dont want to do it just think murder is wrong?

Its entirely possible, everyone has their own moral systems.
But any that contain the idea that murder is right must be ok with being murdered themselves. Or else the entire system is hypocritical.

If I could mug him and give him 'cognitive re-calibration induced amnesia' (Hit him in the head until he forgets) I would do that. But probably wouldn't kill someone.

Or they just dont consider a human life to have any more intrinsic value than that of a dog or cat or cow.

A Life is a Life after all, be it human or anything else.
Naturally thats how the system would work. However it still would work on the basis that im just as entitled to kill you as you are to kill me. If you believe it right to kill others then you must think it perfectly right for them to kill you or anyone you love and youd offer no protest.

Oh of course there is protest and struggle, every creature naturally considers it and its own above others, a bear will fight to defend its cubs, a fish will struggle on the line that is reeling it in.

No one said the person in the theoretical OT would just lie down and let you kill them.
Of course not. But the acceptance of murder for money as morally right asks its own questions.

Scenario. Someone breaks into your house with a knife to murder you for money. You fight, as you described, and win. However he survives. By your own logic you shouldnt report him to the police, and if caught you will argue in his defence. After all he shouldnt be punished because he didnt do anything "wrong". If he lives by chance and escapes to be later caught you wouldnt want him punished as by your own admission he is doing the right thing.

This is a "Black Button" case, look it up, its a moral choice issue proving that a vast majority or people will end someone else for something they want. Look up "Black Button" on like youtube.

I would shoot him in the shin and take his five million dollars. If the police start asking questions, I'll tell him he attempted to blackmail me by threatening to kill me if I didn't commit a murder for him.

This is assuming he hands me the murder weapon, of course. Like he's all "USE THE GUN" and I'm all "OKAY" *shinshot* ...if he wanted me to do it of my own tenacity, Agent 47 style, then well I'm fresh out of ideas.
