Your brother sounds like a jerk. Next time he acts like that, mock the hell out of him. It's what brothers do (I'm told).
It's "You're", and it doesn't bother me in a sense that "oh hell, I'm offended and butthurt!" I just find it really ironic.LiftYourSkinnyFists said:Your being a big baby, grow up and get over it.
Oh whoops, excuse me, but I think you're misinterpreting irony.agnosticOCD said:It's "You're", and it doesn't bother me in a sense that "oh hell, I'm offended and butthurt!" I just find it really ironic.LiftYourSkinnyFists said:Your being a big baby, grow up and get over it.
And here I thought I didn't have to explain myself too clearly... I find it ironic that people like him think that games are pointless, and that getting exposed to good things are pathetic if the idea came from a game, while he himself has a lot of games he has good memories with like CS and StarCraft, and that while he insults people who like games a lot, he himself is a big fan of Magic: The Gathering and the aforementioned UFC and NBA.LiftYourSkinnyFists said:Oh whoops, excuse me, but I think you're misinterpreting irony.agnosticOCD said:It's "You're", and it doesn't bother me in a sense that "oh hell, I'm offended and butthurt!" Dont apologize, its not like im Lord Pantomime, Master of Forums. Im just a normal guy. Just giving my opinion is all. And your topic isnt unorignial, or at least not uninteresting, otherwise I wouldnt have said it was interesting. All im saying is that your opinion would be almost universally shared on this forum, which doesnt lead to discussion, which is what I really like about forums. I just hope I didnt discourage you from posting more of such rants, because id actually like to read them.agnosticOCD said:Well, I did post it on my Tumblr, and I try to fit video games one way or another into my essays for school, which are surprisingly given praise, thank goodness. I do try to get these across, and I thought it'd be a good idea to share it here too. I don't mean to make the forums seem like having the same topics over and over though, and looking back, I noticed that. Sorry.Mr Pantomime said:-snip-
I don't rely on video games to look for good works in other media. I only happened upon somethings I like because of video games, and should it also be a yes if it were the other way around? Like wanting to play a video game because of a movie? Or because of a song?MaxPowers666 said:Im going to go with both yes and no. No in that it is a good thing that you discovered more things that you like. Yes in that you had to rely on video games in order to discover them instead of going out and discovering them that way.
I haven't even had the chance to play Fallout 3 because at the moment I'm too busy with college to save up for better hardware, but I've once gotten a buttload of songs from the 30's from and out of the game after I've seen the trailer. It also exposed me to Sinatra.C95J said:I have heard loads of fantastic songs whilst playing Saints Row 2, and without Fallout 3, I wouldn't know or listen to all the great music from years back. I love the soundtrack and style of Fallout 3 music, and I wouldn't have heard of any of it if I didn't play Fallout 3.
Well, now I did do something wrong and bothered you, so... sorry about THAT part, I guess. lolMr Pantomime said:Dont apologize, its not like im Lord Pantomime, Master of Forums. Im just a normal guy. And again, stop apologizing, it really bothers me when people apologize when theyve done nothing wrong.
For a while, that cake made me wanna try baking, but I never got to it because of my schedule.paynexkiller said:Portal Cake.
Overkill with it's usage in every day media.
Yeah Sinatra is one of the main people I started to listen to after Fallout 3, but in general the whole list of songs the game has is brilliant, and nice to listen toagnosticOCD said:I haven't even had the chance to play Fallout 3 because at the moment I'm too busy with college to save up for better hardware, but I've once gotten a buttload of songs from the 30's from and out of the game after I've seen the trailer.
