Pretty much any mouse-over ad ever. If my mouse strays, as it does when multitasking between tabs and suddenly my ears are assaulted by some loud, over-used annoying advert, well, you know I will never be giving that company money.

On a related note, any of the Romney ads on TGWTG that do the exact same thing! Was never going to vote for that scumbag anyways, but having to listen to the first few seconds of the ad because he is desperately throwing money at my age demographic and lying through his teeth in the process? Haha...no, never going to vote for you ever, and will actively campaign against you as well.

Do you mean the "It will make your mum cry." ad? Because I still think that was pretty funny and everyone forgot about it like 2 days after it first aired.
If you want to see an ad that is truly insulting to gamers as a whole, go take a look at that 5 minute WiiU ad that was released a while ago.

Fucking patronising and insulting on every level I can think of.
How is that remotely insulting? Kill the bad jokes, throw in some profanity, and replace video calls/wii message board with Google and I doubt there's a single person on the site that hasn't done exactly that.
Because it looks like a bunch of people at a board meeting sat down and watched an episode of Big Bang Theory, saw Sheldon acting like a fuckwit and assumed all gamers love that kind of shit because it's "lol so randumb and nerdy" then paid someone to make an advertisement off such an assumption.
You might act like an assclown like this guy does, but I sure as hell do not. I also can't fucking stand the coke-bottle "Look at me I'm so fucking nerdy" glasses he's wearing. There are much less obnoxious eyewear options in this day and age.
I think you are seriously overreacting.
Kinda agree with him, actually. I can taste the forced effort in the air with that one, and it tastes like failure. Seriously though, it looks like they are trying way too hard to emulate a more successful style and come off as patronizing and fake. Then again, it is nintendo, and they haven't been very good at this sort of thing. The wandering Wii businessmen thing was pretty dorky too, though less insulting I have to admit.

The most egregious ad where I was just like "NO NO NO" was a Joe's Crab Shack ad where they try to idolize and tell the life story of the crustaceans they just killed for you to crack and eat. Just ewww.

If they bought all the ad time and their commercial runs over and over and over every break (see daily show and youtube) it puts me off. Samsung, Mitt Romney, Nissan, and Axe are all on my no buy list.

Bonus no buy points if they have a crappy song playing every god damned time... >.<

Even though I usually avoid grain-based snacks and such... I used to occasionally buy wheat thins.

...but not since their recent rash of online ads. Second highest ear-raping volume hike I've yet encountered, right under the rogaine ads. Fuck their advertising people. Fuck them with a rusty spork.

That one extremely sexist Doctor pepper commercial made me throw up in my mouth a little the first time I saw it.

Obviously it was just meant to be an attention grabber, and probably doesn't reflect any one specific person's actual gender views within the Doctor Pepper administration, but that commercial still turned me completely off of the stuff. Not that I drank much anyway, but there's my example.

Not sure if anyone's mentioned these yet, but I feel this is relevant:

In fact I did not buy a PSP, but that's because IRC there were very few PSP games that interested me and I felt that it wasn't worth it just to play them, since I already owned a DS, not because of the ads. Don't get me wrong though, these ads were REALLY dumb.

Anyway. The National Tiles radio ads.
Anyone who has heard them will agree.
I'm American, so I looked that up to get some context.

After I heard the ad, I started feeling a bit queasy, and then I lost the ability to speak as a normal human being. Now all I can ever say out loud is "HI IM FRANK WALKER FROM NATIONAL TIIIIILES" over and over again. If I don't find a cure soon I'll start typing it and theHI IM FRANK WALKER FROM NATIONAL TIIIIILESHI IM FRANK WALKER FROM NATIONAL TIIIIILESHI IM FRANK WALKER FROM NATIONAL TIIIIILESHI IM FRANK WALKER FROM NATIONAL TIIIIILESHI IM FRANK WALKER FROM NATIONAL TIIIIILES

OT:

I actually made a thread bitching about this ad a while back. Basically, it's a bunch of 40 year old men in marketing who want to be hip with the kids by having lolcats and other outdated memes all stuffed in 30 agonizing seconds. It wouldn't be so offensive if they didn't put it before every damn youtube video.

-snip-
To make things worse, the latest ones start with HELOOOOOOOOO! FRANK WALKER FROM NATIONAL TIIIILEEEEEES!
Then proceed to have random people say how much they hate the ads. It makes no sense what so ever!

Almost any shaving cream & after shave commercials ever. I'm saddened that people actually fall for it.
On the other hand, I bought Old Spice just for the sake of having Old Spice.
And the smell turned out to be smashing.
well, that was the reason to not buy the game for me, too.
I did, however, lend it from a friend and played it through. It was ok, but not great.
I however thing that was less the game's fault but more the "sequel" fault.
I was just not scared. I then played Dead Space 1 again and i wasn't scared, either.
I probably just have gotten used to the necromorphs. They get old pretty fast.
What the actual fuck? What does that have to do with anything?
Oh fuck, i just noticed that i quoted the wrong person. The one i wanted to quote said that its stupid to not buy Dead Space 2 because of the "Your mom will hate it" commercial.

Probably the Noob VS Vet commercial for Modern Warfare 3. I mean I wasn't going to buy the game anyway, but the commercial definitely didn't do anything but make me want to buy it less.
Also all these captcha ads aren't making me want to pay for dish anytime soon.

Here is an advert for a biscuit which I actually used to like and now hate because of this;

A bit of context for people not familiar with Pakistani weddings. We never serve biscuits at weddings, they are usually held at night mainly biryani and cold drink is served.
Why are the university students eating biscuits after getting results or something?
Most of the song doesn't even have the name of the biscuit and is completely unrelated to the product it is trying to sell and doesn't tell anything about it at all.
Worst of all sometimes advertizements for the same product are looped back to back on Pakistani TV so just when you think this torture is over, it starts again from the beginning.
This thing is so bad it can be used as psychological torture.

What the hell was that? Who are they trying to appeal to with that advert?
It makes no sense what so ever!

I don't think I've ever had an advertisement that has either made me want to buy a product, or dissuaded me from wanting to buy a product.

Yes, and it has probably negatively effected me.

Pretty much every laundry detergent commercial. They are always SO bad, the only laundry detergent I buy is the house brand from Lidl. It's cheap, cleans perfectly and Lidl doesn't have any horrible voice-over commercials with every single commercial break.
