Came here to watch Unforgotten Realms (come back...) and wondered who this guy was that everyone was ranting about, and thats how I became a convert.

Am I the only person who prefers Unskippable to Zero punctuation?

I mean - I watched the youtube videos back in '07 which linked me 'ere; but I only stayed for Unskippable.

Plus Zero punctuation attracts some... characters

It seems the kind of people Yahtzee rants about are the people who watch his reviews.

I'm surprised more people weren't following him in his pre-ZP era!

I found him shortly after he released 7 Days a Skeptic, continued following him through the rest of the Chzo Mythos series and the various webcomics he did (anyone for some Chris and Trilby?). Whilst monitoring his website for updates to his webcomics and games, discovered he'd started doing video reviews and have watched them all since!

I saw my friend playing 7 days a stranger, I asked where he got it from and was shown Totalrambolic (or how ever you spell it). Later that week Yahtzee made his first ZP which I watched and then kept watching there after.

Hey, you're not alone!

The first time I "heard" about Yahtzee was in 5 Days a Stranger and then I proceeded to play 7 Days a Skeptic. After a few years I remembered those games and wanted to play them again and after searching for a while I found out that Trilby's Notes and 6 Days a Sacrifice had been released and I played all of them.

After that, I looked up Yahtzee to see if he had some other games made, so I was following the Fullyramblomatic site, and then I saw that he's been doing video reviews for the Escapist, and that's how I got here.

I would watch the videos on YouTube, and when I couldn't find any new ones, I eventually came to The Escapist to watch them. I would watch them week after week, and after a while, I started clicking on the Hot Threads while waiting for the video to load. Then I started visiting the forums non-stop, then I joined a month or two later.
DITTO. lol. Apparently a lot of people join here because of ZP. Wonder how much he earns from all this.

A website I frequent posted a link to the Skate II review. Then I remembered him and decided to go watch some. I loved it, obviously.

But before that a youtube channel called HellfireComms mentioned him in their Portal playthrough.

I just googled 'Lunatic escaped from mental hospital and talks about games'
i like that. that should be on his wiki page, did you guys know he has a wiki page? it was fan written by some stalker or other.

anyways my friends are big into Rpgs including tabletop games with character sheets and stuff.

well i wanted an excuse to have a party and one of my friends games seemed to be going nowhere fast so i proposed a all nighter at my place (then told my bf about it after we made the plans, he was ok with it). the game in question was Scion, a game by whitewolf where you play as Children of gods aspireing to become gods yourselves. we had reached the middleground and became demi gods. and this final big battle would be the jump to godhood.

night of the all nighter came with the 7 people involved in the endgame gathered by 8, alcohol and a few extra people round for a while. game didnt actually get started until after 11, by that point the extras had gone home plus one of the main peeps who happened to be our main kill guy {think the unstoppible force and the immovible object except rolled into one man} had to leave to so his character gained temp NPC status. we didnt get to the final fight until about 4/5 in the morning and we didnt actually finish the game til 9am. it was good.

so during one of the points we had nothing to do i went to find out what one of my mates was watching turned out it was Zero Punctuation.

later on just as the final fight was starting another of my mates character got turned into an extremely well made mahogany table by my bf's characters ability and i fell asleep after my first turn. only to wake up a few hours and 3 turns later to find that i killed someone and did the most damage to the big bad.

masataka was still a table.

after that i started watching zero punctuation and other things on here in my free time.

I also saw the light from X-Play and jumped on ever since. I didn't make an account for almost a year, but it's been a good year nonetheless.
