Medium rare.......seared on the outside on a cast iron skillet.


Try it. You will NEVER look at steak the same again. Also add a stout to that meal and Im set.

I eat Medium Rare steak. I started eating well done when I was small and slowly moved down the cooking times, maybe eventually Ill reach Blue lol

medium rare to rare. It's like in between the 2. but when my mom is around I get medium well so she won't complain and scold me about getting parasites.

i normally have it medium-well, but in Berlin 'medium' must mean 'rare'. next night i order rare and i get something between 'blue' and 'rare'. might just be because it was thicker, but still...
loved it. and loved the conversation between my teacher and someone in my RMPS class about steak and how they 'love it covered in blood.' especially the reaction of the girls next to them. slight fear mainly.

Medium rare, it makes me salivate and I'm not even a steak person!
Does not spurt blood or dry mouth while chewing, is cooked enough to kill bacteria but not to the point that it loses flavour. It can be savagely ripped apart when hungry, but you won't look lower class for ordering it at a formal dinner.

Tl;dr: MEDIUM RARE IS AWESOME!

Medium rare. It's cooked enough to not still be mooing on the plate, but still raw enough to have a good ammount of jucies in it. The best in my opinion.

Medium Well. Living as an ""orthodox"" jew for a while made a habit of ordering well done, but screw that I told myself and now I'm eating medium-well. I'm so adventurous.

Why does having something 'cooked properly' be called 'well done'? I don't get it.

Rare. Because cooking it just delays the time between steak production and om nom nom time.

Now I want a steak, dammit!

Medium rare. I like to be able to push down on my steak with a fork and see some juices come out. So moist and pink and edible... oh yeah.
