Poll: So I just finished rewatching Avatar: TLA

I think earthbending suits my personality most. I like to hang back and observe the situation before making a move- fits right in with neutral jing.

Favorite character's Iroh, but I'd be a water bender. Freezing people and blood bending ftw.

Question: What do you need to fire bend? Just air?

Judging from the show's description of the personality of each bender, I would most likely be an air bender.

As for favorite character, it's a two-way tie between Sokka (that guy is eerily similar to me) and Toph (if I have to explain why, you clearly haven't seen the show).

Just randomly decided to watch the show for the first time a week ago. Man, I had no idea it would be actually pretty darn good. I guess that shows not to judge a show by the silly-looking tattoos on its main characters forehead.

For bending I choose waterbending because I can use my own sweat to bend, and the water in the air, and plants to bend. As for my favorite character that would be Toph I mean you can't win a argument against her if you do you get earthbended into the ground.

And BTW, I would prefer to be a Water Bender. I like the healing aspect, and the idea of helping people with my powers. Guess that's why I spend so much TF2 time as Medic.

Depends. I assume you need to burn oxygen to ignite the fire itself. If we talk about the "movie", then you need actual fire in order to fire bend.

Depends. I assume you need to burn oxygen to ignite the fire itself. If we talk about the "movie", then you need actual fire in order to fire bend.

I haven't seen the movie but needing fire to manipulate fire has already been done in Full Metal Alchemist.

It is a tie with Toph and Sokka. I watched LoK but I just did not enjoy it as much as TLA. I disliked most of the characters (Mako is a douche and his brother is a crap Sokka wanabe) and none of them seemed anywhere near as good, bending wise, compared to characters from TLA.

And for bending I picked Air. I would love to fly and have a flying bison and as Air has yet to have a sub skill shown I think that it could be invisibility/light bending.

I have to say Zuko is my favorite character (I just rewatched TLAB during the months of June into July) and I think he has the best arch over all. His transformation from villain to hero is one of the more engaging parts of the show, and his stumble in the middle is entirely understandable and real. I honestly have a soft spot for Zukara, though I know it never happened.

And I would totally waterbend if I could.

Airbending

It is the element of freedom, Also flying.

It fits with my personality, I believe in self-defense but not attacking without cause. I like the thought of being a trader throughout the world. I like the spiritual.

Air bending is great.

But the best character is Katara. She is strong and independent, but still has good teamwork dynamic. She can fight, but does not go out looking for one.

Waterbenders can also get bloodbending, though I suppose you could also say they ice bend if you don't want to go the evil route. I don't think Airbenders get anything else though, which kinda sucks for them.

I adore Sokka, Aang, Toph, and Katara. Sokka because I love his brain so much. Aang is highly adorable, Toph is the most badass twelve year old to ever exist, and Katara because I can relate to her in many ways.

Well, even before bloodbending, I loved how beautiful waterbending seemed to be. And it seemed so versatile.

Favourite character? Why Toph, of course! Hands down. She has invoked a childlike inspiration of "I wanna be like her when I grow up" in me. I adore the crap out of this character, even going so far as to cite her as one of my heroes when asked, right behind my boyfriend of course. Also I'd choose earthbending, mostly for the "I wanna be like Toph" reason, though.
