Plus COD is popular for a reason. It is a very well refined series of games and has fast, fun and mindless fun which most people want out of games.

Same thing happens at my school, trust me you are not alone.
In class I hear everyone talking about CoD, outside, in the library. Its a never ending moron fest.. And every time I say that I don't like CoD, in a split second I try to follow up with a perfect explanation as to why I don't like it... But too late, my whole class has just gone completely ape-shit.
Also the generation of kids today don't even have the balls to play something proper.. All they go for is CoD. I was in JB Hi-Fi (An electronics, music, software and games shop) to grab a copy of Halo: Combat Evolved for my friend for Christmas because he lost his other copy, and I offered to get him a new one. I saw this kid, looked about 9-10 years of age and his mother, he kept repeating to his mother that he wanted "this game", when I was looking at the box of Dawn of War 2, I peeled over to see what was going on. I saw this child wearing a cap that was sideways and high top shoes (That's what most majority of my idiotic, brain dead school wears.)He picked up a copy of CoD: Black Ops and proceeded to the counter, and he was very short, so the lady at the counter couldn't see if he was over 18 to purchase the game..
I don't hate CoD to the ends of the earth, but I just hate it, because of my whole school talking about nothing but CoD. I was with a friend in a shared classroom and we were talking about Halo: Reach because we were going to crash at my place and have a game of 2v2 slayer.
All I hear from 96% of my class is this: "HALO REACH IS GHEY!!!!111", "COD FOR LYFE", "HALO LICKS MY BALLZZZ". I then said to counter act this blatant stupidity: "Hey. Cock of Doody sucks".. After that exact moment everyone went, again, completely ape-shit. Oh and heres the best part. My whole school is a bunch of CoD loving, PS3 worshipping, Justin Bieber ass-raping morons..
Sorry for the long post, I had to get it out of my system.. But we can all understand that that schools everywhere are getting turned into breeding grounds for CoD fanboys, and I seriously do not know where to go any more, because I just hear nothing but CoD every single, freaking day
