My parents used to say that when they were younger, a sort of rivalry was engineered by record companies between The Rolling Stones and The Beatles. Apparently, you were either a Stones person or a Beatles person. They were "Stones people" and now I have to say I am too. As a musician, I recognise the strength in the Beatles music, but I don't like it much. Are other people like this? Or have my parents led me down yet another drunken rabbit-hole?
Neither. Queen ftw

I like both, but The Beatles are mostly just a bit too poppy for me. Too many sappy songs. But whatever I'll just keep listening to both. Both have songs I like a lot, the Stones just more.

Beatles are horrifically overrated to the point where I despise them, so Stones by default.

I can listen to more rolling stones songs than beatles songs. I still like some beatles songs, but I don't like most of them. Stones, on the other hand.... I find most of their songs enjoyable.

Stones. I like their tougher, grittier image more, plus their music is more interesting.

The Beatles are too mellow, hippyish, and made too many love songs for my taste.
