It's been a few weeks now sinse Jim has been added to the escapist, and I've been hearing alot of criticism about him. I want to hear other people's opinions on this, so I figured this would be the best way to get it. So yeah, go nuts, lets hear what you think about Jim.

Personally, I'm not too impressed with him. I mean, I don't really get what he's trying to be. Is he trying to be a serious opinion show host? Or is he trying to be a stand up comic? I just dont know. My friends keep telling me "You just got to think of the whole thing as a joke." but I just don't see it, not with how he represents himself.

And even if I had a solid understanding of what he's trying to be, None of his solutions would be any more valid. Adding Tomba or Midevil to PSN wouldn't be any better then what sony is doing now, just because COD is a good game with well done online, doesn't justify it being the only game you play.

Maybe I just dont get it. Maybe I just disagree with what he's saying. Maybe I just don't like who he trying to be. Bottom line is, I don't like the jimquisition.

I only ever watched the first minute of the first episode and thought to myself ''Why is this here instead of on youtube?''

Didn't really give him a chance.

Every episode has been getting better, but at a snail's pace and starting from abysmal. Just kill it now.

I'm CMDR. Shepard, an this is my least favourite show on the escapist.

let's face it, Jim is tired, unoriginal, not charismatic in the least, dances around the issue, has views that have all been said before and isn't funny in the least.

I was prepared to like him, but now I just think of him as an annoying, fat southerner (that's south england, not USA)

I like the show alright. The topics are a bit hit-or-miss but overall I'm enjoying it and I enjoy Jim's sense of humor. I like it more than I liked Top Five but still miss ENN.

I like the show. I think many peolpe's problem with him is. They can't tell when he is joking.

watched 3 episodes then gave up, he can stay on here if people like him.
Shouldn't cancel a show because i dont :D that would be silly.
Would ask him not to put anymore boobs in his frontbits :p

Whenever I watch it, I can't help but think that Moviebob did it better with the "Anti-Thinker".

It appears that the plan behind Jimquisition was twofold.
1) Bring in his existing fanbase from his work on Destructoid and his previous Youtube videos to the site.
2) Appease this site's fans by bringing in another snarky British guy.

Unfortunately, the latter didn't work because, as has been widely documented, it's not very good. No idea about the former mind.

I would, however, quite like to see how popular the videos are purely in terms of views...and if they're not getting the ratings I hope he's only on a short-term contract.

I like his show. I don't personally agree with everything he says, but then a great deal of what he says is done ironically and I personally find his arrogant persona to be pretty funny, and kind of a reflection of the way some other people on the internet regard their own opinions.

I think he took a good few leaves out of Charlie Brooker's book, but he misses something in his execution. I have a feeling that his shtick would work better in print...

He is improving hugely. But sewage that's better than the last sewage is still sewage.
Not a word, concept or joke comes out of him that could not be or has not been done better by MovieBob, Yahtzee or Extra Credits. He doesn't even serve as an intermediary.

I watched his latest three videos or so. His humor doesn't work at all for me. I can see what he tries to do and why it might be funny, but for me it just is not (in the watch-paint-dry way not the holocaust-and-dead-babys way).
But I happen to like the parts where he actually explains his opinions (instead of making jokes). So I, for one, would be glad if he removed the comedy bits (or drastically improved them, either one works).
