As of now, none of them. I'm not some PC master race overlord or anything. In fact my PC is way behind the times. But of the consoles, I'm favoring the PS4. Here's how it works out, from least interested, to most interested (of the big 3 console brands);
Xbone; All the points you've heard that paint it in a negative light. I'm already anti-drm, and this system is the biggest poster child I've seen for it. If ever the gaming community wanted to be heard saying "No, we do not want your DRM," this is the product to not buy to make that point. What's more, Microsoft is favoring publishers in this cycle, putting us consumers on the block. I choose to be no where near the block.
Wii U: All the Nintendo games I ever wanted came out on the Gamecube. And I have mine still. I play mine still. I've played Wii games, and Wii U games. There's very little content (note: Not play styles) that is different from other titles. I can play my Zeldas, and my Marios. About all that I grieve over is the Metroids.
PS4: It's a PS3+1. It does what the ps3 does, but better, and with a few more features. If that's all, then I'm not ready to upgrade. There are games I'm interested in, but I'm content to wait for those most-haves. Also, while this is my most favored console, let it be known that I don't believe Sony is delivering a better consumer product. I believe Sony is just screwing us the least. (Arguably Nintendo is screwing us the least, but their 1st party video game stamp is stale, and the ink pad faded. It's the beast you know all to well.)
The $5/mo is Sony's obvious foundation for the bandwidth all the online features are going to use. Uploading to youtube, jumping into someone elses game, live-streaming, etc. It's by no means a bad thing. They need to be able to support their product, and here they can guarantee that they have the funds to do exactly that. It's not a feature I necessarily want in my product, so I'm going to wind up paying $60/year just so I can play some games online. So it's the console that's screwing me the least.
So for now, I'm staying with the PS3. I'll eventually upgrade to the PS4. Or if I absolutely must have the next gen graphical upgrade of a Nintendo experience, I'll get the Wii U. (Honestly... a solid Metroid game would do it.)
