The question and title pretty much cover it.
You wake up in a room with four doors and nothing else, each door has a plaque on it, they read; Ishimura, Raccoon City, Silent Hill and Castle Brennenburg. If you think you can beat the system and just not leave the room, you're very wrong. First, the Silent Hill door will open and in will pour fog, Castle Brennenburg door swings ajar and water pours in up to your knees, the other two doors open and then that's that, you're now stuck in a room with all four horrors surrounding you with no escape. So I highly recommend you choose a door.
One more detail, you are still yourself when you enter the door, and so you will only have your skills and your disposal. So for instance, Raccoon City, you've probably never used a gun before so when you find one you're not going to have pinpoint accuracy. But this does mean you'll do slightly better off in Brennenburg than Daniel as you can compact yourself behind things instead of just crouching, you can throw things to slow down the grunt etc.
If you choose either Silent Hill or Raccoon City, you will find a gun near where you enter, but you wont instantly start with one, so if you miss it, then you're more screwed. If you choose Ishimura you will find a plasma cutter nearby, same as the other 2. Choosing Brennenburg will instantly result in a lantern on your person, but no immediate oil.
And for obvious reasons, layouts would change so if you have a place roughly memorised, it will be useless, and you are bound by the restrictions of that game. So in Brennenburg you can't just smash a window near the entrance and escape, in Ishimura you can't hop back onto the ship and leave before it gets destroyed, Silent Hill is Silent Hill, good luck getting out and for Raccoon City, well, if you can get out, then well done.
So, which would you choose, and why?
