Honestly, the mute option takes me out of the game for too long in most games. I'm playing to play, not to screw around with mute and volume settings in a pause/menu screen.Korten12 said:As many of you know, Multiplayer is sort of a mixed thing when it comes to the Escapist Community. Most hate it with a fiery passion, others like it. So who are those who do like it?
I for one love it. I still love SP, but when I got a good MP game, I really put time into it.
I also found the argument for FPS multiplayer games: "I don't want to play an FPS online becuase of the stupid kids with mics" really bad, becuase you don't ever need to listen to them. Anyone claiming it, is lying. In about 99% of Multiplayer games have mute buttons, and if you can't mute them. Their always an option to turn down the volume of voices.
I know, I am suprised.NLS said:Poll says you're wrong thoughKorten12 said:Most hate it with a fiery passion, others like it. So who are those who do like it?
I prefer a good singleplayer campaign every now and then, but in between those rare gems I might as well enjoy some rounds online with/against other people.
On here, as I said. I didn't say everyone in the world, I said:Sabiancym said:How did you ever come to the conclusion that most hate multiplayer? Looking at the sales of COD multiplayer packs and WOW alone will tell you that that would be highly irrational to suggest.
I contest that the people who dislike multiplayer just haven't found the right people to play with. If you get in a good guild for a good mmo, you'll love every second of multiplayer games.

How dare somone really enjoy a game and play it enough so there good at it! how DARE they!whiteM1lk said:I don't really have a problem with multiplayer except for the people that are experts or annoying 9-year olds.
Even that is a questionable statement at best. I've seen some negative responses, but overall I can't see any evidence supporting your statement. We ain't got a very popular TF2/Source games community group for nothing.Korten12 said:On here, as I said. I didn't say everyone in the world, I said:

Well depends on the game I reckon. You're right about AC:B though, at least on the PS3. I pretty much gave up on that game. Which is a rotten shame because it's multi is absolutely stellar. A really unique multiplayer experience.Number-14 said:I really don't experience that much multiplayer because the chance of connecting to a server is one in a billion. And WHEN I finally connect, I dont find a lot of people to play with. And that's why I'm still in level 1 in Assassin's Creed Brotherhood.
Yeah, that's my problem with modern shooters. That they die off due to games like Call of Duty. MAG is honestly my favorite shooter this gen, and it's pretty close to dying off too like the rest of themIlikemilkshake said:i like the option of multiplayer, but the problem is most games are dead after 3 months because they go back to call of duty or whatever, so its hard to get a game.
also most developers seem to think that multiplayer makes up for a 4 hour singleplayer, which i really hate because i mainly play for singleplayer.
