So from what I've seen, Treyarch's Zombie mode seems to get a hell of a lot more praise than the actual game. Look at the new map pack. Call of the Dead looks to have had more effort and money put into it than the crappy maps. George A Romero is it for god's sake! And Machete and Buffy! With so much effort going into essentaily a mini-game, wouldn't it make sense to take it to the next level?

So, here's my question Sirs and Ladies,

Would you buy and enjoy a full Call of Duty Zombies game if released?

(Dear Escapist, please do not inlcude Greek symbols in captcha. I don't think my keyboard has them)

Naaah.

I'd rather just play L4D.. or Zombie Master.. or Zombie Panic: Source.. or something else that's more interesting.

Nah, probably not.. It's not a bad mode, don't get me wrong, it's just that I found it rather boring unless I was playing with friends who are physically present. Playing with randoms, or just online is fine, but theres a massive lack of communication which can screw things up a bit. So, no, unless theres some form of single player, as well as 4 player split screen. =D

Maybe Black ops's bioweapon thing was a hint leading up to that? From what I witnessed my brother playing, realism is not a concern of Call of Duty anymore, so might as well break out the crazy.

Because it wouldn't sell.

People like it... when they get it for free with their Call of Duty.

They'd need to make it more varied before I'd consider it; currently as it stands, I'm not sure it has enough on its own to make it worthwhile as a full game; still, an interesting idea.

No, I'd rather just play everything else CoD has to offer. There are better things to do in Black Ops than play Zombies.

With World at War - yeah, Nazi Zombies was about as good as that game got.

I might be interested but the problem here is that from the limited time I've played the zombie modes it seems to be you stay in one place and learn the layout of the map, the only way for a full game to work is if it has variety and if you're changing levels say, every 5 round for example with the zombies getting tougher then it might not work. Then again I may be talking rubbish, keep it as an add-on for now and maybe for the next game or DLC they can experiment with varying levels.

Nah.

See, I find zombies boring; a whole game devoted to it would just be a bore fest for me.

Sure, I jump on it with a couple of mates once in a while for lulz, but mmh, not all the time.

I'm happy with it being an extra, thanks.

I think there should be an Xbox Live Arcade Title of just Call of Duty zombies, with the original mode and maybe a short campaign too.

Yeah, I think I'd definitely give it a look, but only if they changed the format of it. The wave upon wave approach would only work well in the add-on/mini-game format its in currently. If there was a campaign of it (don't ask me how), then hell yeah I'd play it.

It'd be too "inventive" for Infinity Ward to actually do this.

They make the same game over and over again with slightly evolved controls, guys, and you keep buying it. Face the facts.

If it was a full priced game, I'd expect maybe a campaign and different modes to go along with the traditional zombies. It'd be fun, I rather like nazi zombies.

Totally, make a game with maybe 25 maps, in different periods (i.e.: 'nam, WW2, modern era, futuristic, WW1 maybe), including the different weapons for the era. Make it so that you can customise your character a bit, and make it eight-player co-op in larger maps. Add new perks and such, and you've got yourself a game. Add a few bots as team mates for single-player mode, and you're set! Replayability is practically infinite. Add a mode where players can customise their own lobbies, for example changing what weapons the players start with, how much ammo, how many waves, etc. Leveling up could, as per usual, unlock new costumes, characters, golden guns, and new maps. You've got yourself a winner there.
