Well I don't think I can answer with any of the poll options... I love it because it has gems like Full Life Consequences, it's easy to find movie clips, trailers, or other similar videos, and because it has all the stupid awesome kid/cat videos. :p

But Youtube i not about the community. It's pretty much down there with 4chan in that regard. It's best to just ignore it, pretend there are no comments on anything, and just enjoy the awesome videos.

And of course most of the videos suck. It's a simple matter of the second part os Sturgeon's Law: "90% of everything is crud." The internet has done nothing if not prove this to be correct, and Youtube is no exception.

You're an idiot for not liking Youtube.

Or rather, you're an idiot for still not having figured out what Youtube is and how you're supposed to use it. If you're getting pissed off every time a horde of morons likes something stupid you're going to spend the rest of your life being pissed off. Catering to the lowest common denominator is successful because it attracts the largest amount of people from any given cross-section of society, not because it produces any amount of intelligent high-quality entertainment.

So in order to save you from developing a peptic ulcer or getting an aneurysm the next time you're watching a retarded Youtube video, allow me to share some common sense rules on how to use Youtube:

1) Do not read the comments section. Just don't. You should know this by now.
2) Do not judge videos by their popularity. People are clever. Crowds aren't. Going with whatever's popular at the moment will disappoint you at least 50% of the time.
3a) Don't just browse around looking for funny stuff. Most of Youtube isn't funny to you. It might be funny to someone else, but that someone else thinks your sense of humor sucks, so his opinion shouldn't matter to you.
3b) Only watch stuff you want to see. Sounds simple, doesn't it? Then why are you not doing it? There's a search function, you can subscribe to channels you like, and you can just avoid the whole thing and only watch links your mates send you (if you trust their judgement). There's no reason to ***** about something that's so easy to avoid.

I laugh at stupid people, so I rather enjoy the comments section. I watched a video on Bad Company 2 and the conversation was basically: "THE ILLUMINATI CONTROL EVERYTHIGN THEYRE GONNA KILL WHITE PEOPLE AND MEXICANS! JEWS WILL ROOL TEH WORLD!" over and over and over.

However, I finally searched up Fred to see what all the fuss is about.

WHAT THE FUCK!? How dare you subject me to this mind-torture! Garrragaga it cannot be unheard.

Youtube is about the videos, not the people. I don't care who uploads or who comments. I find what I want and watch it. And I'm a banana. Ha ha ha!

Well of course you going to find a lot of trash on YouTube if you aren't looking for something more specific. The same can be said about television. If you randomly scan the channels at any point, you aren't going to stop on more than one or two channels at any given time. Does that mean most television shows are worthless? No, that is simply one opinion. People like things for various reasons, and on YouTube it is easier to tell why people like something because of the posted number of views and the comments below the videos. So while video series like Fred (which I agree, is pretty strange and stupid, don't forget there is a Fred movie in the works right now as well) will gain the attention of the casual YouTuber and entertain the tweens.
Just take it all with a grain of salt... some videos are intentionally stupid just to be viral, and others are considered stupid because perhaps the person who created it lacks the experience of more veteran filmers. Either way, if you don't like, no one is forcing you there. If you find no reason to go there, then just ignore it.

Youtube is a good place to legally listen to all of your favorite music and troll (if your into that sort of thing) without having to join or sign up for anything.

Don't watch the bullshit then. Youtube has a huge variety of videos. Don't watch Fred. Just surf around and find the comedies, music, whatever else that may fit your taste.
arrrrrr! ye be spot on! sure there's a ton of stuff you figure is crap because it annoys you or... it actually is crap, but that's not the point!

the point here is that youtube is a free service to used for better or for worse, and it's got some really good stuff on there, you just have to find it. Besides, 90% of everything is crap, youtube is no exception.

Go search for game overthinker if you haven't discovered it alredy, and you'll see not all of youtube is crap.

Youtube is made like this, 1 part sugar, two part syrup then 4 trowels of epic fail. To abbreviate: There's some brilliant stuff on there (Like video guides, my content, and heck, some reviews), but equally amongst the good is the bad. It's like taking me apart, I look awesome, and a fair chunk of me is, but behind that logo: I really need some exercise, a tan, and to go outside more. ^^ <- Just owned himself.
