Because the community as a whole is crap, but when you have certain people who create communities around themselves it makes the experience much, much more enjoyable, even if at first it sound major-ly egotistical. Take the vlogbrothers for example, their "fans" call themselves "nerdfighters" and the community of 'nerdfighters' is far better than that of the 'YouTube community" if you could call it that.

Also, I find watching original content a million times better than the crap that they put on the tv.

I agree. I found something on YouTube once that I couldn't find on Google. So, I like YouTube but mostly for listening to new music and the occasional laugh. But I share the general dislike of Fred, never really saw the appeal. Guess I'm just weird.

The Youtube community is crap. It is however, a great place to see some pretty weird videos, of people doing stupid things. In my experience, most of it is crap though; like Fred, and that banana song, but there are some funny videos there. So it isn't all bad.

My video's on youtube suck because it's not stupid enough like that banana video. (Which is awesome) Like my best video is my team fortress 2 meet the heavy real version, which sucks says youtube people. I planned and randomly decided to do this video, in less than 30 mins. Youtube sucks. The person starring as the heavy is me. The face of Tuddle like one or two years ago.

It sort of follows that law that 90% of everything is shit, so the goal is wading through to find the remaining 10%. The things to hate the most are the unnecessary features; annotations, all the ads, and the number of people pleading for subscriptions.

I didn't think it was quite so horrible until the video loading times became immensely slow. Now I'm making my own website and video player.

I only like a handful of things on YouTube, the only thing I watch daily on there is TYT (The Young Turks) because it is just brilliant, and people who are genuinely entertaining and informative deserve to have an audience.

It's good because it does have the capibility to produce people or things that are quite intellectual and have actual brains, for example, we would be w/o Zero Punctuation if it weren't for Youtube being home to his 1st 2 reviews.

However, it means we also have to deal with this crap...like I said, there are good things on there that are enjoyable, but at the same time, there are idiots dancing in banana suits...

While Youtube is full of crap, rickrollers, jackasses, taunters/teasers and generally stupid people, remember this.

There are good people there, like Vash12349, Darksydephil, Druidboyz, WishingTikal etc. etc.
They balance out the shittiness.

I don't go to Youtube for comedy, I go there for information, like New Scientist, and Kipkay, they are interesting, and sometimes can add a little not over the top humor in their too.
