Well you see, part of me wants to say " Yeah, go ahead, buy one, sorta looks fun " but the fan boy inside me wants to say " Don't you even think of buying one!! They have no purpose on earth!! Why would you want to buy an over-sized grill?!!! "....

But yeah, I mean, if you have the money, buy one.

Do it, you'd be like the daywalker of the console wars and be the owner of a 360 AND a PS3!

Who the hell doesn't own a PS2 anyway? It's like criticizing a PC because its monitor won't double as a TV...

I don't own a PS2 anymore because I own a PS3 that's backwards compatible with PS2 games. Not everyone wants a PS2 and a PS3.

If you already own a 360, then I'd say the only reason to buy a PS3 is for Blu-ray. Other than Blu-ray, there is no real difference between it and the 360. Beyond that, The PS3 only has a few exclusive games and after watching the E3 footage of what the 360 is going to do with Natal, I'd sell any stock I owned in Sony or Nintendo right now.

If you already have a 360 then no, you shouldn't. They're basically the same thing with a few exclusives here and there.
When one of those exclusives is frigging God of War III, its hardly a little thing. The Number of exclusives match up roughly to the number of multiplats that are worth two craps (Come on, the shared games include all liscenced games, vanity projects, and fail projects Sega creates for balance).
Dude Seriously. Stop touting that game. Only you care. Most people see it for what it is. A Self Absorbed Over Macho Beat 'em up that lacks the style of the Devil May Cry Series and tries to make up for it with 'maturity' that it thinks means blood and titties.
I care about God of War. And comparing God of War 3 and Devil May Cry4, God of War wins easily. DMC 4 was basiccally just one giant semi-interactive cutscene. And i liked Devil May Cry 4.
I'm guessing you have never actually PLAYED the series and just watched Yahtzees review.
Actually, I've played both series. My friend has a ps2 and is a huge God of War fan. I finshied DMC 4 on my 360 a few weeks ago. Both series has stuff the other doesnt. I just prefer God of War. And the Yahtzee reference, well, i couldnt think of a better way to put it. B/c anyone who played the game and saw the review they would think "yeah, its pretty accurate."

I just finished watching G4s coverage of the Sony Spotlight, and it was awesome. I always thought, what Sony could do Microsoft could do better. However that doesn't seem to be the case. I really want to play Infamous, Uncharted, Resistence 2, Heavy Rain, Mod Nation Racer, and God of War. I'm on the fence and need outside opinions. Now i dont plan on getting rid of my 360 b/c of games like Mass Effect 2, and Halo. So....um, thoughts?
I am a big PS3 fan, but even I have to say Infamous is a total waste of time. Pass on it like it's GO! in Monopoly.

That said, grab Resistance 2 - Co-Op alone is worth it.
Grab Killzone 2 - it's basically two games in one.
Grab Wipeout HD - it looks so good it is considered porn in seventeen US States... plus it's Wipeout. Who the hell doesn't like Wipeout?
Grab Warhawk - it's an awesome game.
Grab the Top Gun soundtrack - you can have it playing as background music whilst playing Warhawk, and that kicks the Awesome Levels up off the scale.
Thanks for the advice. I'll remember it if i decide to get one. BTW, Wipeout is totally awesome.

Guessing thats a complaint over the EU psn which does suck, easily fixed by setting up a fake US psn account with any random adress like 1000 beverly hills. Hell its cheaper at the current exchange rate from £ or Euro to import games/ps store cards from America anyway.
Actually it's not the PSN network I'm complaining about, lemme explain to Rosac's query.

? explain please.

When the PS3 first came out in Europe, we only got the ONE kind of PS3, the one without backwards compatibility and less memory. For the SAME PRICE as the PS3 with backwards compatibility and larger memory that you Americans got, as well as the shittier PS3 which was cheaper.
So, less better PS3 for the same price as the good one?
Fuck you Sony. Maybe they've corrected this by now, but I don't care, I am very insulted as a European Gamer that they did this so fuck their PS3. I don't hate the console or even the people who play them. I hate Sony for disrespecting this continent, I have no problems if anyone outside of Europe buys one because they're not being ripped off.
But now I hear the PSN in Europe is shit too? Oh that's it, now I want to piss on a PS3.

DMC4 is NOT the entire DMC series. 1-3 are still awesome. And yes they where PS exclusives too. But BETTER ones.

If you reread what i said i played both series. I played all the DMC games. I was just focusing on the most recent release in the series(DMC 4). I liked the other games as well, i just think the God of War series is better.

I'd tell you to go die in a fire for wanting one. But I'm in a nice mood so I'd say that it really doesn't matter as long as you want to play the games because... really...

Xbox 360 = PS3, the only thing that changes is the exclusives and Blu-ray player that nobody uses anyway.

Not since Wipeout HD came out. Fucking hell, I'd forgotten how awesome the Wipeout (or should that be WipEout?) is/was. Plus, two player split-screen play! Just like the good-old days!

Best of all, if you plug the other guy's controller in, the old tactic of "rip the 2nd controller out and overtake" will still work! Retro Gaming at its finest!

I think Wipeout HD has shot down the 360. Everyone I know wanted it because of nostalgia, and in truth a few of us (myself included) expected to be disappointed... but what we got was so awesome that the only 'flaws' we can find are ones an outsider would find rather stupid (ie: that Piranha ships handle like Quirex ones used to, or that AG-systems ships aren't made of tissue paper anymore).

But, that said, my gaming circle grew up on NES and Master System, learned to read via Phantasy Star / Final Fantasy wall-of-text encounters and graduated from the Streets of Rage school of Hard Knocks... so maybe the PS3 is just more awesome for old school gamers.

...and the fact that WipEout is 'old school' now actually makes me want to cry...

the only thing that changes is the exclusives and Blu-ray player that nobody uses anyway.
When I got a PS2, nobody used DVDs...

Yeah, look how that turned out. I wouldn't write off Blu-ray just yet; every trip to HMV makes the Blu-ray collection all the more tempting.
