Admittedly, I'm not up on Australian politics. How does someone so obviously pro-censorship get such strong support? He must have some redeeming qualities, or Australia is in a situation like the US where the people most likely to vote are the hicks (who put George W. A lot of people don't know that in Australian politics its a small minority that matters, for example in my old town about 70% of people always voted the one way "my father voted for X party, his father did, so I will" regardless of what they thought about guy they were voting for.

It was the rest that decided the fate of election, the people who made up their minds, but even so some parties had their work cut out for them because of the strong bias towards a party in that town, making it a "safe seat". The scum bag is in one of those seats, a good chunk of the people there have always, and will always, vote Labor.

Yes I know it's retarded, but hell there are some countries *cough* out there that less then 50% of the people actually vote (how can you have a democracy on a minority vote?), at least here everyone is required too.
