And this is why the world will end in 2012. Stupid politics. There's this jackass and then there's this Texas educational program thingy that's discriminatory altering history books ...

It sucks that the majority of Croydon voted for Atkinson. Now we got to wait another 4 years for him to get voted out.
Or for him to kick the bucket. That would also work. And with a bit of luck, that could happen before the next election!
"No, Your Honor, I don't know who put the [insert horribly deadly, scary Australian creature] in his coffee!"

Atkinson? You Aussies have deadly things just slithering around your country. And the snakes and spiders are pretty bad too.
You mean "insert ANY Australian creature", the only harmless creatures in Australia are wombats and sheep, and I'm not sure about the wombats =P
Wombats are nasty little bastards with sharp claws and mean tempers and sheep... ugg... if you've ever had one be pissy while you're trying to move them to another paddock you'd never call the damn things harmless, my feet and legs hurt just thinking about it.
That's why I said I wasn't sure about the wombats =P And as for the sheep, well, at least they don't have sharp claws and such. I don't see them doing much more than either biting you with blunt teeth, which might leave a big bruise but not much more, and ramming your legs. In that case, the horned ones might still cause some damage, but the unhorned ones, well, yeah, that'd hurt but I don't see them breaking your legs or causing any kind of major lasting damage, so I'd still call sheep pretty harmless in the long run.

The rabbits, however..... ohh, those are the most foul, cruel and bad-tempered rodents you ever set eyes on. They've got vicious streaks a mile wide, they're killers!

So it looks like he wins the election, but he's stepping out in 2014, or something.

And just when I was starting to see light at the end of the tunnel.
Now I feel just that little bit more depressed....

He is resigning at attorney general, so this is a win.

Past that, Michael Atkinson is no better than the liberal candidiate. They are almost the same.

So basically, his win is still a win for gamers. And makes no difference to the result.

The next best thing has happened: reports say Michael Atkinson plans to step down. In about ... four ... years. Still it's better than nothing.

In recent news, the mana bar was torn down this week by a raging and seemingly unexplained fire.

Poor Australia. One day life will turn around for you eh?

What's his problem? Is he trying to ban 18+ films too?
Clearly he must be (or, in light of recent events, have been) trying to ban all 18+ films, as well as any adult-oriented music, literature, art, and ice sculpture, because otherwise he's a narrow-minded hypocrite. But surely that can't be the case.
