OT: Spartans, all the way. They may not have the strength, speed, or technology of the elites, but they really don't need em anyway.

Spartans, every time. I prefer the human arsenal over the Covenant weapons, and although the Elites have the Evade ability (which is pretty damn cool) I usually go with jetpacks when I can anyway.

I haven't actually played Halo since the Halo 2 days (and what days they were), but I've always preferred the Elites. I definately feel more for angry aliens than power armoured HOO-RAH types...

The religion I could take or leave (nah, definately leave), but I'd still go with the Covenant.

lol trolling aside, elites i fucking love, the roll is epic as fuck for strategy in the game, it actually helps (especially when your shield is gone)

Spartan IIs were genetically altered teens who were abducted as 8 year olds for the sole purpose of being a bad ass military force. Elites kill people so they can kill themselves. I'm going with Spartans.

I enjoy Elites more, but I usually play as a Spartan. Armor variations, and Spartans make for smaller targets.

I played as an Elite in Halo 3, but now you can't really customize them as much. The different armour suits look cool but you can't really make a truly individual character, so now I gotta say I prefer spartans
