It's yet another take on the same worn out rehashed universe. I would love to see LucasArts do somehting other than star wars... like say another Grim Fandango or something entertaining..

The thing with the Star Wars is its all been done. When more and new can Lucas possibly pull out of his ass to make Star Wars any more interesting than the turd my dog just left in my shoe..
Know why they still make Star wars games? They sell. People still love Star Wars. The thing about Star wars is that there is always something going on. Another adventure going on. No, I don't agree with your statement. Series have been going on longer that SW has and I don't see any complaining about those.

It looks pretty, but I'm wary. Mainly because of how unicolor everything looked, and the fact that you are going to be basically thousands of feet underground for the whole game... That seems like it's going to invite lots of corridors and same-y gameplay.
When I saw THAT was their gameplay i said," That is NOT gameplay!" Then they actually gave me some gameplay.
OT: I will definately be keeping an eye on it because I love everything star wars(except for the puzzle game, I hate puzzle games that aren't portal). Now I want to see if i can find the game where you play as Jango it's around here somewher.

Yeah it looks alright. It seems like it will have a lot of cover based combat and regenerating health. I did like the look of the game. Hopefully we see more gameplay trailers in the future.

Crashing Airplane with chesthigh boxes.
So... I've played that in Saint's Row 3 already. Twice. Now with graphics from Star Wars:TOR?
This presentation was very underwhelming.

are you kidding me with this? It looks like complete shit.

So, it has good graphics... and?

It's just another Cover Based Linear corridor shooter with some Uncharted Platforming tossed in for "Cinemaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaatic feeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeell"... t'hell is that?

And that's how you make a "Mature" Starwars game? Strip off the Jedis and make some "Gritty smuggler" simulator? C'mon...

If it wasn't a "Starwars product" we wouldn't be giving it the time of the day. It's crap.

Looks really neat, but the comment in the gamespot video about how "fans want a gritty, mature Star Wars experience" rubbed me the wrong way.

We want a good story dammit, not everything needs to be blood and tits.

This looks absolutely nothing like TOR.

What video did you watch? I though the graphics looked good.So do most of the people that have commented here.

I't will be interesting. It's like a polar opposite to the Clone Wars in video game form. And grittier doesn't necessarily mean that. Gritty as in more mature story lines that they couldn't do with a T rated game.

I'm surprised it took this long to get a full-on Uncharted clone, and the fact that it's a Star Wars game does make it more appealing than it otherwise would have.

I love the Uncharted games and their whole approach to spectacle and setpieces, and I'm glad someone else is finally doing what they do.

My guess is that the game will have a light M rating. More than anything I think it's just a grab for publicity. The first m rated star wars game. Last time we had anything close to this level was Republic commando.

The question is if they take advantage of the M rating. I know from the Expanded Universe that Star Wars can get pretty violent and gritty at times.

wow
this makes me go really meh. the game looks nice but the amount of marketing sludge oozing out of the commentary made me sick. also: WTF is the shit with an ammo counter on a blaster? there should not be a reason to reload more often than between missions. i know they try to be like ME in the shooter part but why not include some other mechanic? something that feels more like star wars.

Erm... kay.
Say what you want, but the cutscene looks good. And they have done a good job in transitioning from cutscene to gameplay.

I don't know how much you know about star wars, but blasters are based on cartridges. Cartridges that are filled with tibana gas or other suitable substance. So, it makes perfect sense. They used ammo in battlefront and republic commando also.

Sure, but besides looking good, it failed to excite me in any way. What exactly is so innovating about that transition?

But in other games, namely KotOR 1/2, you don't ever reload since it's an RPG. And there it's explained as "Yeah weapons don't really need much reloading, you basically put in a new cartridge after every battle and you're fine." 100's of shots in one cartridge probably, at least much more than here.
