Poll: Star Wars Battlefront 3

Apparently, there's a rumor that it will be revealed at this year's E3!!! IT TOOK THEM LONG ENOUGH. I honestly can't wait. I'm not getting my hopes up too much, but hot damn, if it IS revealed... Battlefronts 1&2 were some of my favorite games of the last gen. Xbox got Live shut down and I dont think ANYONE plays the PC version (and barely anyone had the PS2 online), so for many of us, myself included, this will be Battlefront ONLINE!!! Here's an idea if anyone who has ANYTHING to do with this game happens to read this: Death Star. not the interior, I'm talking a full map. Rebels vs Empire. The Rebels have a set amount of time to run through the trenches and destroy the Death Star before Yavin is destroyed. The Empire has tto stop them. The Empire gets Darth Vader's TIE Fighter and the Rebels get the Millenium Falcon. I want an authentic multiplaer trench run. If done well, that ALONE will shift units. I'm not gonna get too excited but... still... how I've waited for this...

But yeah I'd consider getting it XD depends on what changes they make.

I'd really like there to be flying vehicles in land battles, like in the old Geonosis.

I liked SWBII it was a lot of fun. If they make the mechanics less clunky and the races more balanced I may get it. I would like to wait for the review though.

About. Fucking. Time. There's no way they can fuck this up (nobody mention Lord of the Rings: Conquest). The concept is pure gold. I don't care if it's Star Wars, Prequels (Battlefront actually made me appreciate the vehicle design in the prequels), or Clone Wars. I am now seriously considering going to E3 just to play it. This game is MADE for the current generation online capabilities. I would be so happy if the reason it is so late was because they were trying to implement a 128 vs. 128 player multi-player but I am just as happy it may finally get released. Obviously I spent A LOT of time on the previous games. I love them. I would buy it if it's single player. I would buy it if it's multi-player only. I would buy any console it came out on just to play it. To answer your question, the answer is yes, I would buy it. Yes. Yes. Hells yes. Yes.

Well... the first one was awesome, the second one was even more awsome so by the same token the third should be even more awesome than the first! I mean, sure it doesn't always work out like that but regardless I will be buying this if it ever sees the light of day. I personally think swb2 was just about the best star wars game ever (with the possible exception of KOTOR)

Yeah. Battlefront has a bigger overall fan base then the force unleashed.
Battlefront was also a much better game.

Battlefront 3 you say? *dusts off aviator glasses and piloting goggles* time to prepare and train, I've been out of practice far too long. Yavin 4, I'm coming home.

Needless to say, I am psyched, cant wait to get online and if they dont bring it to the PS3 there's going ot be some serious answerings to.

You probably did, but that was a awhile ago. They just (re?) announced it, so this is recent, which means either Lucas Arts wants to stir the pot, or they're serious this time.

OT: Maybe, If it's just a rehash of Battlefront 2 then probably not. I was kind of disappointed by Battlefront 2, it didn't really seem any different from the first one.

Battlefront 2 was absolutely amazing. I think one of the best Star Wars games, has to be up their with KOTR, But maybe it wouldn't live up to the expectation. Seeing the greater increase in success of online games maybe Battlefront 3 would be dead in the water. I think 2 had a really good story, even though it was just the rubbish films in a game.

Splitsreen was so much fun with friends and I still remember the invincibility and infinite ammo cheat code.

Battlefront games were my favourite PS2 games so I'm naturally psyched for this release .. fingers crossed that it's on 360.
