Fool! You missed out SW: Trilogy Arcade!

The amount of cash I threw into that machine at the arcades, hehe.
Oh my how I loved that game, was at Alton towers (theme park in uk) and was too scared to go on a certain roller-coaster so spent hours on that game. Ran out of money as I was flying down the trench on the first death star. 8(

But the star wars game that I will forever love would defiantly be the X-wing series. The sheer intensity of some of those missions was awesome. For example, when you had to defend the medical frigate "Redemption" from a relentless imperial attack.
If anyone here has played the game and remembers this mission then I'm sure you will see why I think of it as one of my favorite video game memories.

If anyone here has not played these game then I strongly suggest you do. X-wing Alliance may be a good place to start, that game can still look quite pretty.

you guy's are forgetting the best star wars incarnation ever, star wars battle chess. (j/k)

I liked KOTOR but I could have lived without the 3 hours of walking around without force powers or a lightsaber in the first one(if they make a third one I hope they take a hint and just let you have the stupid lightsaber from the beginning).

KoToR is an epic, amazing game. The only problem I have with it is that, take the Star wars name off the box and there is very little to associate it with the Star Wars universe, it's not really connected to any canon so I can't have my fanboy nerd moments. I realise the game centres around Jedi/Sith war but really they could be any generic light/dark factions.
I hate to say it but I think you're just uninformed on this point. There have been a huge amount of star wars novels, comic books and grand descriptions of almost every conceivable aspect of the star wars universe. Knights of the Old Republic was extremely cannon based, itself just highlighting a particular part of Star Wars jedi/mandalorian history.

I'm saying Republic Commando, if only for how awesome Sev and Scorch are. I would also like to state the TFU looks sweet, and nobody should assume something is going to suck right out of the gate.

One last thing, wouldn't it be a bit more easy to make a list of bad Star Wars games?

I have a special place in my heart for DF 2: Jedi Knight because it's one of my favorite shooters of all time. I got REALLY into it, and I ended up being the only Top 10 player who ran on a 56k modem in TheZone.

But in terms of sheer Star Warsness, KotOR takes the cake. KotOR 2 pissed me off because it was obviously the better of the two, but it was horribly buggy and unfinished, and LucasArts refused to let Obsidian release patches to finish the game after it got forced into an early release.

Seeing the shadow of how awesome a game could have been is far more disappointing than a bad game.

Star Wars is really weird like that. George Lucas is a great idea guy. He can create a really interesting world for people to tell fantastic stories in, but when he tries to tell his own stories it's just... Awful.

Despite all the hate for it, I always liked Star Wars: Masters of Teras Kasi though it was the first fighting game I really played alot of. I thought it was enjoyable not sure why so many hate it.

I had loads and loads and loads of fun with both X-Wing and Tie Fighter, but I had even more fun (albeit briefer) with Jedi Knight (and to a lesser extent Dark Forces).
KOTOR felt a bit meh to me, I only played it after much procrastination, and ONLY because it was a Bioware game. (The SW franchise was pretty much ruined for me at that point.) Sure, the writing was OK, but most of Bioware's other games have even better writing. I remember not caring particularly for any of the characters, and would in fact be hard pressed to recall them all. I remember Carth, mostly because of my deep regret to be unable to put him out of his misery.
It was a very bland experience for me, but then again, the last time I can remember feeling like a Star Wars fanboi was 1993 or so when I read Timothy Zahn's sequels. Come to think of it, those atrocities (beginning, as far as I remember, with Luke and Lando drinking hot chocolate; only with a more exotic spelling) were the first part of the so-called "expanded universe" that struck me, and it struck me hard and painfully.

(Expanded Universe - what happened outside, before and after the movies, and where EVERY SINGLE UNNAMED CHARACTER from the films gets a name, a longwinded backstory and fan-created, marvelluous adventures. Oh, and by the way, everyone who died in the movies miraculously got away and lived on to have more of those fanmade adventures, thereby saving said fan the trouble of actually having to create an original character.)

Normally I would agree with you, but thats what the demo is for, its a showcase of the game. I thought the demo sucked, so naturally I should assume that for me the full game would suck as well.

Actually there have been quite a few bad Star Wars games too. Off the top of my head I can think of 10 Star Wars games that fell short. As a Star Wars fan I liked most of them, but they were not received very well overall.

Also, every hero has destroyed at least one Star Destroyer. Alone. Half have destroyed a Super Star Destroyer.

Masters of Teras Kasi!!!

Just kidding.

I think the highlight of SW games was Xwing Alliance. That is a game that is begging to be remade.

I think it's Jedi Knight - Jedi Academy. But the choice to go to the dark side is a little bit too late in the game.

I'm sort of stunned at the amount of variation in this discussion. It's Tie Fighter. It's totally Tie Fighter. It's the best space fighter ever made, it's the awesomeness of being an Imperial Elite Pilot, it's...man, kids today.
