Personally, I dislike remakes. However, SW:KOTOR needs to be remade. Why? Because try playing that stupid thing on a modern computer and it crashes every few minutes because... The graphics card is too advanced. Yeah, you have to downgrade your computer to play the game.
Buy the game on Steam.

I have a quite advanced computer and the Steam version is completely rock solid.

Now I know alot of you got your hopes up when you saw the title sorry about that. Im just angry that A great game such as Kotor is not up for being remade while Halo 1 is being remade for the 2nd or 3rd time. Do you think Kotor deserves a remake to todays tech maybe add more side quests and such? Discuss
My two cents with regards to Kotor is it's not even 10 years old yet. Why exactly do you need a remake it? The graphics haven't aged HORRIBLY or anything.

It's a big waste of Bioware's time.

For me the importance of KOTOR came in the decisions, and the plot-line. I played that game to death, made my own charts and graphs to work out the best character builds, and knew the times it was worth it going dark-side for special items, and light-side to negate those choices. I got my fill of enjoyment out of that game.

An updated KOTOR doesn't really interest me because the first one was that good I got to know everything about the game. Now a patched and updated KOTOR 2, with all the extra material that got cut and a better ending etc. I would seriously consider buying that, as I only bothered to play it through once light and dark, because it was so... unpolished it just couldn't hold my interest.

But if I'm honest, the game I would be most willing to buy if it was revamped, would be Halo 2. With all the cut levels, including the one where you get a Forerunner tank, a better introduction to the Flood, to Gravemind, the cut Juggernauts, the Engineers, and an inclusive proper ending. I would pay good money for that (or any of the later Halo games if they were released on PC!)

I think KotOR is fine as it is but I'm likely to be disregarded since I own the Xbox version. I'd say Sith Lords is in need of a re-release on consoles if only to get the complete game out there.

KotOR is fine, KotOR 2 however needs to be finished, the restored content mod fixes most of the story but it doesn't fix stuff such as the obviously unfinished levels, like Goto's ship not having any shred of lighting to it.

I'd prefer a KOTOR II rerelease more than anything else. If it was polished up, with the removed content added back, and given an actual ending, there's no doubt that it'd be better than the first.

Halo is getting a remake to beat what little life there is left in the series, it's a blatant cash grab. I like to think bioware are above that, KOTOR doesn't really need a remake anyway.

The only part that hasn't stood the test of time is the combat, and even the combat isn't REALLY bad, just a bit clunky.
