i have 27 games on steam, most of which i've bought on sale
im pretty happy with steam for the most part but like you said the lack of any real competition for steam cant be good, we're just fortunate that valve so far have handled dominating the online market very well

I am hoping they will adjust the cost of new games above all. Digital distribution is a lot cheaper than retail, so the price should reflect that.

I only think I have like 4 to be honest. I have Left 4 Dead 2, Empire: Total War and Audiosurf as far as I can remember. I tend to use Garena more often though because most of my friends do. However I like Steam, I think its pretty awesome though I've only actually bought Audiosurf off of it.

About 50 games on my two accounts combined. The best part to me is that even if i buy a retail version of the game but it automatically comes with steam it saves the game, so in case my computer blows up i dont have to go scrounging around the house to find the cd's to reinstall all of the games i lost.

Add that with an easy to use friends mechanic, automatic updates, and awesome sales its the best damn game service i know of. :)

I signed up for Steam a few years ago (I don't remember why), but never used it. Yesterday, I bought Audiosurf, so.. 1 game. I think it's awesome, but I'm terrible at it. I get to be the pro champion at my own songs, though!

40 games, and I love it:

- Updates are great
- Downloading is always quick and easy
- Great pre-order deals (BioShock 2 for £25, and BioShock 1 for free)
- Mostly cheaper than retail
- Files all your games and tracks your stats
- News feeds for all your games

Retail stores had their chance, and they spent it down-sizing shelf space and ignoring us.

You mentioned a pound mark. England usually gets the cheapest games, rest of EU has to pay a ton more for new games. 30% more on average basis.
Publisher's choice unfortunately.

None. They are too expensive usually, somewhat restrictive, and after seeing my cousin's account disabled thanks to an error and never fixed I don't trust them.

54, I quite enjoy what they are doing, well other than the micro-transactions in TF2, that does annoy the crap out of me.

I own 16 games but I only play a few of them (got Humble Indie Bundle 1 & 2 as a Christmas present).

I only really buy games when they are on sale really cheap but luckily, that's pretty often.

Steam is amazing. The friends system is so efficient and I really love the sorting/cataloguing system. where you can file/order your games the way you want to. Love steam :)

183 games.

I only own 17 games in physical form.

I heart Steam :) Digital distribution is the future, thankfully, I always hated boxes.

I have two games. The Portal 1 demo and Civilization 5.

I can't really say anything about the system. Because I only ever use it for one game, I don't utilize everything about the system very much.

I've got 73 games if Mods count, and I love Steam. I mostly buy games that are on Sale, but I'll often buy games that aren't too.
