For as much as I know about it, I'm very much for it. In the same way I'm pro-adoption. It seems like its research (and applied) potential is immense and valuable, much how I support research in nanotechnology and artificial intelligence despite their "risks". The only difference is that I don't believe stem-cell research "harms"[footnote]I am deliberately leaving my definition of harm undefined here. If I had to explain it, I would probably have to put it in context with my entire world view, and that would take a while[/footnote], or have the potential to harm, anyone.
And that might come contrary to my personality, as just a few days ago I felt quite sad for having to pluck one of two sprouts from my flower pot. I had to kill a plant to make the other survive. It was a very strange ethical dilemma for me.
