Have one in the bedroom i use to watch TV on in the morning when im waking up on my days off. It still works, its small, and I only use it for BBC news and BBC 2 in the morning so no point on buying a HD TV for that.

I do use a HDTV for my main TV mind.

Our den TV is one of the last Samsung CRT models that was made by the company. It's actually a pretty good TV, so we've never seen the need to get rid of it. Our main (living room) TV is a Vizio HDTV, though.

Unless your tv doesn't have a component port, you my want to pick up a PS3 component cable for your PS2. Aside from the HDMI port, the PS3 and PS2 use the same connecters on the back of both systems.
From what I've been told, it's the TV itself.
You know how Guitar III and up had that TV latency/lag feature for certain tv's? I believe it's something similar to that, in that playing a game that requires such pinpoint accuracy like Frequency is impossible because of the lag an HDTV will produce.
Sorry about that. I totally forgot about that detail regarding the lag. Is there a setting in the game's option menu that allows to change the input lag? I remember that Guitar Hero 2 had something like that.

I use a 42" LED for my computer as we have no VGA monitors and for Igloo/DVD player we still use a 32" CRT without HDMI

I have an old CRT box around for older games that were designed for the higher response offered by CRT and don't play so well on a modern television. I also have an HDTV setup for my modern consoles but do most of my gaming on a 1920x1080 monitor.

I own one- a 15-year-old 21" CRT I bought from a Radio Shack (never did get that promised rebate)- but these days it's only there for my PS2, which I don't use anyway. I quit watching television about seven or so years ago.

I still have one that I use sometimes, mostly for older systems though, because they look way better on CRTs.

I've had my 1080p monitor since '09 so I used that until I had the cash to get a proper TV during a Black Friday sale. See, people in Canada are mostly reasonable so we don't get any trampling, people get in line outside the shop and wait their goddamn turn. If you weren't there early enough, sucks to be you. I was, so I got a new TV!

Sorta for me... i finally got a LCD HDTV last year for my room to use for my PS3 and digital cable, but we have flat screen SDTV in the living room for watching tv when i'm downstairs and playing my gamecube since my HDTV doesn't have s-video cable hook ups that I like to use to make gamecube games look better. Also got a LCD computer monitor. it's what came standard when i got my PC about 5 years ago.

Oh yes I do, (I have an HDTV in my bedroom) in my family room downstairs (which is where I am now) right behind me is an ancient beast of a TV, it's one of the very first Plasma screen TVs, the one with the huge projector built right into the TV and you can't see the screen unless you sit at the right angle, I'd say the screen is 40 or 50 inch but I'm not good with measurements, it's huge.

I don't use an SDTV. However, I do occasionally watch shows on Crunchyroll in SD since it easier to watch when numerous people are using the Internet at once.

I have an HDTV for my PC and HD consoles, and a SDTV for PS2 consoles and below. Older consoles look TERRIBLE on newer LCD TVs.

I have a flatscreen Sanyo from 2000. It's 21 inches. Dead Rising was impossible to play on it, but its still simpler for things like Rock Band due to the lack of lag.

At this point, I keep it to mainly play older games since NES/SNES era stuff just looks better on SDTVs.

How does that work, exactly? I'm not being facetious, I actually would like to know the answer to that. Do you watch any TV series, like on Hulu, Netflix, etc., or do you just not watch TV shows at all?

Seems like it would be difficult to just cut it off completely, given that you can get OTA local network and PBS broadcasts for free.

Noooooooope. Twas before Guitar Hero.(Was Harmonix's first rhythm game I believe) I don't think HDTV's were as prevalent at the time so they felt no need to make provisions for it

Same setup for me--small HDTV in my room, a large flatscreen in the family room which I really can't stand anymore. We've also got a 30 or so year old TV that's still kickin', although after all of our moves I guess it's just been jostled around a bit too much. Now whenever someone turns it on anything that's white has these green streak around it for a minute or so. Still, I prefer it over the flatscreen, haha!

I've got a nice, almost top end model in my bedroom. It's a 27 inch Sony Trinitron, one of the later flatscreen models. The only features it's really missing, as far as CRT technology goes, are HD support and a progressive scan mode. But it's got 16:9 mode and some of the best colors I've seen on /any/ consumer display technology. Even my parents' Plasma TV, which is in the livingroom, doesn't have colors this good. What's really nice is, as far as gaming goes, it's not lacking anything for the systems I can hook up to it, because I basically skipped the seventh gen of consoles in favor of the PC, barring the Wii, which is SD and only really gets used for homebrew (read: videos and music) anyway. It would be nice to be able to hook my laptop up to it, but I'm not missing out on any resolution thanks to it, aside from the odd 480P PS2 or Wii game, where I'm still missing out on very little.

We have several TVs in here. The ones that are not the main one or the one in my bedroom are SD and are gotten on the cheap, so it doesn't matter.
