both systems have their pros and cons. I respect both systems equally. And MGS4 will never come to the 360, unless you want it on 2-3 disks. I find both are equally worth getting.

I don't own an 360, PS3 or Wii. There's no way I'm going to stop my personal hatred, because my choice is the best!

(second sentence is a joke, but I do occasionally make fun of all of them with my friends)

I think Yahtzee said it best. Most people prefer to go into denial until the very fabric of reality warps before they'll ever admit they were wrong. Even if the weren't really *wrong* and it just happens the choices were balanced, people insist that their choice is the *right* one.

Me? I couldn't care less. Only reason I don't play the PS3, Wii, or 360 is I don't have the money. That doesn't make them inferior; but I like having consistent meals over the chance at some good gaming.

*Because there's no more room, Van simply leans against the side of Danny's couch*

I can't really claim that I'm happy with the console that I bought because I'm a PC gamer, which technically isn't a "console". Feh. I suppose that makes me a neutral third party or some such thing.

That said, I have played all of the current generation consoles at one time or another. From what I can tell from playing the Wii, the fact that the motion sensitivity doesn't even seem to be a factor in most games on it kind of hurts the "high concept" that the platform was built on. This is being based off of the few times that a friend of mine essentially forced me to play "Brawl" with him.

Between the PS3 and the 360, I don't understand all the factionalism and fighting. To generalize it they're similar enough with basic controls and things like Xbox Live and Playstation Network that someone ignorant enough can say they they're basically the same. It's like fighting over whether Coke or Pepsi is better. The only real apparent distinctions are that each console has it's own exclusive titles like MGS4 and Halo 3 respectively. With the apparent news that that exclusive titles like MGS4 is being ported to Xbox or Bioshock finally making it to PS3, that distinction isn't even going to be around anymore.

To sum up, I'll say the same thing to the PS3 and the 360 that I say every time one of my male friends is fighting with one of my female ones:

"Why don't you guys just screw each other and be done with it already?"

*turns to Iron Ninja* Your going to share those nachos, right?

I love my 360, but wouldn't mind losing it for a PS3. I really don't care what I or others play with, as long as I'm left alone. The only reasons I bought a 360 were release time and I liked my xbox so thought an improvement would be good.

But then I know people that will not talk to you for days until you get down on your knees and kiss their 360 on it's faceplate. It's just weird competitiveness.

I have a 360.

I might get a PS3, but it's yet to prove itself to me. It has too few games that interest me to be a viable purchasing option at the moment.

Don't flame me, I just don't find the PS3 worth it at this point and time. My opinion, not yours.

I want both, but since the 360 has the cheapest game console out at the moment I'll most likely get that since I'm on a tight budget.

Fanboism is really a general thing. You find it in politics, religion, beer commercials, and football games, not just video games. It's basically when people put an emotional investment into something, they want to feel with definite certainty that they made the right choice, even when there is no objective measure for determining such certainty. We tend to naturally fear uncertainty or the unknown. Rationalizing away the uncertainty is a defense mechanism to deal with our own insecurities in the face of such uncertainty.

Yes. Although as a student I'm currently too poor to buy the PS3-games I want. All money flows to the landlord and the grocery store.

Oh, and the liquor store, coffeeshop (of the Dutch variety) and every once in a while: bar.

I game on a 360, a wii and a pc, but the only thing I really use regularly for gaming is my 360.

Personally, I don't think I'd ever buy a PS3. There just aren't enough exclusive titles to justify getting one. The only reason I even own a wii is because of its exclusives. If it weren't for brawl, meteroid, LoZ, Fire Emblem, etc, I wouldn't have one in the first place. The only games I could see myself getting for PS3 are MGS4 and warhawk, which is not enough for me to ever buy a PS3. Also, I would cost me more for a PS3 and a copy of warhawk and MGS4 than It would to go replace my wii and its library.

So that's why I would never buy a PS3.

EDIT: Here's something that's kinda old but is still pretty funny about PS3 excusives: http://www.gametrailers.com/player/27842.html

I am quite happy with my purchases, and will be more happy by the end of October. What's that, Fable 2, Farcry 2, Dead Space and Fallout 3? This 360 thingimabob is starting to pay off!

I really don't care if another console has these games as well. Just as long as my console does, I'm happy.

Why do we need to hate? 360 owners can't seem to leave the ps3 guys alone explain, why they hate so much!!! It seems that the rumors of MGS4 only adds to the fire. And please don't troll.
I hate to sound like a 360 fanboy, but MOST of the hate speech I see is blathering playstation 3 idiot fanboys.

Maybe they're responding outloud to a large number of private messages that I'm not privy to seeing, but for the most part, 360 users are the ones getting flamed... by PC gamers for "having a useless system when all the good 360 games go to PC anyway" and PS3 gamers for having a "Zombie console that's half a brick and stealing all our exclusives!"

Yes I am sure of my decision, I sold my Xbox360 and got a kick-arse computer. Oh how I love it.
