Waste of money. It's all but impossible to get rid of them if you end up not liking them later. Odds are good you won't, because the stretching of skin as you grow warps them, causing them to end up looking bad later in life.
Wasting money is a point of view. Buying expensive, classic cars is a waste of money to some, but to others it is not, because of the joy they get working on them, the feeling they get driving them, and because its what they want.

What seems like a waste to you is a genuine use of cash to others.

And on the point of 'making girls unattractive:' I disagree with you, along with every living person I've ever met. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder as they say.

Begging your pardon, but what the fuck are you talking about? I never said anything about making girls unattractive.
My point was that the tattoo will eventually get warped because your skin stretches as you age, so the tattoo is very likely to look less appealing, if not outright ugly, later in life.

Was talking about someone else's post (Shintsu2). I didn't feel like double quoting. I apologize for the confusion.

I've been vaguely interested in getting one for a bit now, but I have some allergies to heavy metals and it's likely I would become allergic to my own skin.

Wheeee!

I'm covered with them I don't really know how many, but here is a good comparison on a Sims 2 model
