Only if hardcore mode actually works properly.
In FO:NV, it was just a bunch of numbers I had to keep down, it was more of an annoyance. I'd like the chance to actually sit down for a meal in an inn or cook my meals over a campfire, actually see my character take water from a river in a skin and actually see them drink from it.
I think it was Morrowind that had a reality mod that added tons of new things like woodcutting, fishing, camp making, ect.
though its an old game, and though its a mod, thats about as good as a hardcore mode could be, I mean, you even had to take BATHS or you would get a hit to your personality.
OT: I wouldnt be against the idea of a hardcore mode in Skyrim, but dear fucking god, make it more worth while instead of "lol, u get 100 GAMER SCORE/PLATINUM TROPHY!".
I would go so far as to suggest that in Hardcore mode, weapons can kill in one hit if used properly [example: hitting at someones head with an axe would kill them if you hit it solidly enough, while shooting someone with an arrow in the head/heart would also be a one hit kill, it wold apply not only to NPC's, but also the player. This would increase the shield playability and actually make combat more dangerous. For Magic users I cant really think of anything.....]
