The only problem i have with babylon 5 is that I now cant watch other syfy series without resenting them for not being babylon 5..........Except for Doctor who of course, it's in a league of it's own.

Agree 100% great to watch from afar, not so great up close when you have a 7ft Ork staring down on you with a rusty axe screaming WAHHHHHHHHHH and all you got is a dam lasgun

If it has to be a movie/tv show, I gotta say star wars, grew up with it and that clone war series they got running is pretty watchable.

If including games though, Def Warhammer 40K. I would love to live in that universe, but I'd have to be a Tau, as they're the hyper advanced race that just tea bags everything, not to mention they seem to have the lowest death count due to powerful long ranged weaponry.

IN THE GRIM DARKNESS OF THE FAR FUTURE, THERE IS ONLY WAR.

Ha ha, 40k is a fourteen year old's idea of awesome.

Mass Effect.

I find it odd that anyone could choose Firefly for this.

Don't get me wrong, I loved the show, but the setting is completely and utterly standard, there's nothing good or original or interesting about it.

What makes it great is the characters, dialogue, and story, not the setting.

THe most intriguing Sci Fi universes for me would be Star Wars (Jedi!) and Mass Effect (coherence and scale).

Warhammer 40,000 is my favorite, it's very diverse and full of background that it has kept me interested for years.

From the poll choices I'd go with Star Wars. But I prefer the universe from the Foundation book series. It's just so diverse. Not to mention it's all about predicting the future.

Its got to be the Trek universe. Damn... can't believe I'm saying that, 4 years ago I despised Star Trek with a passion.

the macross universe (no not the robotech adaption that was just horrible)

staving off oblivion from a race of warlike giants through transforming mecha and the power of song/culture then sending exploration fleets everywhere into space to find more places to live

Ender's Game.

If you haven't read it, do yourself a favor and check it out. It's quite amazing.

Orson Scott Card also wrote a whole series based on Ender's Game as well. I think there are 10 books in total. But, I would HIGHLY recommend Endre's Game and Ender's Shadow at the very least.
High five! BTW, they were amazing books and some of my favorites of all time, but i wouldn't want to live in them(being in the army and commanded by a kid who doesn't know it = not cool.)

Star Wars. Also, I don't care what you say, the prequels were awesome.
This. Completely agree =D

Glad i aint the only one who like the Prequels! =D
I'm still not sure what all of the hate is towards them, I mean obviously darth vader wasn't badass at 10, no one was. Plus he was still way cooler than Luke throughout his whole life.

True, true. But you can't tell me that you didn't want to play the zero-gravity "laser tag."

I can't say I have a favourite! Its like trying to decide which of your kids you love the most.

About the only ones I don't like are the ones with constant and serious inconstancies in their plots - I mean, you can't be perfect all of the time, but shody work is shody work - I'm looking at you Star Wars and Star Trek.
Given the choices listed, I would have agreed with you on both counts

Who can honestly say they wouldn't love it here?
Dude, Futurama is nice and all, but I think you forgot about a certain universe.

Enjoy your emo brat Vader, and charachters with very little sence of logic, and a movie that conveys no meaning or messages. :D
I will, and you have fun with your retarded villains, lack of excitement in action scenes, and pathetic characters.

Don't worry, I'm joking, I actually love all of the episodes in the series and actually was a kid when the phantom menace came out. I hardly remember it, like most movies at that age. later, I got attack of the clones, which I own right now. i'd say it and revenge of the sith came close somewhat to lord of the rings level of goodness.
