Arms and legs. So much more intuitive. :p

In all seriousness, mouse and keyboard FTW. OK, I prefer analog sticks for sniping (as it allows you to zero in more accurately and track moving targets), but in any other situation, mouse is the way to go. It's, well, so much more intuitive than dual analog, and works a lot better in close quarters, as you can spin instantly to face your enemy instead of rotating too far and emptying a full clip into the wall.
I was going to say face movements, but yes I can see where your coming from. Nothing like blowing up mice and gerbils and small jewish postmen in real life.

In my opinion:

RPG - Dual analog sticks
FPS - Keyboard and mouse
RTS - Keyboard and mouse

Mouse and keyboard. There is no contest, the level of skill a player using any other control system needs to have to own a mouse-and-keyboard player is so much higher it's not even funny.

I can't quite understand why people willingly subject themselves to the torture that is playing FPS games on consoles.
You get auto aim on a lot of them.

Well this won't end well....

Personally I prefer to use dual analogue sticks, I don't really like sitting at a desk while I'm playing games, I find it to be less immersive.
so you sit in a chair?
What? When I'm playing on my Playstation? Well, my usual position would be laying back in between three bean bags, why?

The mouse is undeniably more accurate than the right thumbstick, for slight adjustments to aiming.
Although console FPS's often have slight 'tracking' when you're aiming close enough to them.

However I'd say the left thumbstick is a lot better than the keyboard... I want game developers to realise this and improvise something :)

Keyboard and trackpad. I will ruin you with my laptop input devices.
So do you move with your index finger, and shoot with your middle finger?

As for me, I'm torn between keyboard and mouse and Wiimote. While the keyboard and mouse is the best for most FPS's, Metroid Prime 3 just feels so...right.

Mouse and keyboard are obviously unmatched when it comes to precision, but I gotta say the best FPS controls I ever used were the ones in Metroid Prime 3. It just felt right and was excellently executed. Too bad there aren't any worthwhile FPS games on the Wii that take advantage of this.
Dual analog sticks are horrible and I will never get used to them.

My God.......... Single Analog stick, for realzies? I tried playing with that recently, its' still fun, but it hasn't aged well. Whoops, I've gone of topic, ugh I'm pretty comfortable with both M+K and Duel Analog.

It depends. Keyboard and mouse are good for accurate targeting, but aren't great for driving. Dual analog is excellent for driving, and decent at targeting if you're more patient with the reduced sensitivity. Wiimote: Good for realistic aiming (rail shooter), but no so much for free movement. Single analog has to be the worst of the bunch, because it controls similar to mouse and keyboard but less sensitive.

Best PC gaming device ever despite it having poor sales was the Claw, absolutely amazing for taking the gaming handicap that is a keyboard and making every fps function readily available.

Unfortunatly it was dirt cheap back in the day (got it for 40$ bundled with hitman 2) and is now pretty expensive to order.

Dual Analog.

It's ergonomically friendly and you won't have to worry about where you place your shot.

I'm just too used to dual analogs that I can't get the hang of anything else.

Dual Analogs. The reason I don't like mouse and keyboard is because I am left-handed and it is too difficult to hold the mouse without my hand shaking. If I were to turn the sensitivity down, it would be too stiff.
